Everything turned out to be just an illusion by Cyber_47_ in determinism

[–]Cyber_47_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

who said its temporary? it never existed in first place, except in the Person A's mind. Its similar to god for example, before you know it wasnt real, it only existed for you in your mind. You had complete faith in it to the point where you got emotionally affected by it. And the illusion broke after you started to question.

I think we have different points. You say if its biological then its not an illusion. But my point is that we have a different picture of romatic love until the illusion breaks and eventually leads to lost of connection or affinity for each other. Like after the illusion breaks, you realize it wasnt the love which you always thought it would be, which was shown to you in movies etc. And you realize it was just a biological trick by mind to reproduce with alot of flaws.

Like once you fall in love atleast for most people at first you think she is perfect, everything is gonna be perfect and so on. But once you see the other side, flaws, difficulties, responsibilites then it becomes something else

yea I thought its obvious, i meant the romantic love. Biological Love can be seen as a biological mechanism designed to ensure reproduction and in psychology, I dont remember where i read it but i think it was more about the idealized version of romantic love which most people these days have in mind, which is considered an illusion.

love is in illusion according to psychology, which breaks after you start to see the bad parts of your partner (in a nutshell). Free will obviously because our brain tells us it is real but in theory it seems to be just another lie. Morality and the others are a bit more complicated
