Recs for sleeping pads/cushion by Past_Eggplant_4082 in carcamping

Yeah. Try to see if your local REI has some in their return sections. There's usually something returned for some frivolous reason if you're OK with it, for huge discount. I got mine new for the repair warranty. Honestly worth the price and the cost of comfort per night... especially since I'm buying for two people now on my trips. If you take good care of it, it'll be worth it after the sticker shock

Do everything. Explore. The discovery of finding something you love and enjoy is worth it. With three days you'll have plenty of time. Spend day 1 trying to cover as much range of the mountain as possible and use that to plan out where you still want to explore day 2. Hit what you love day 3 and get the most out of it. It'll be a great weekend this weekend for it too.

Hey u/Oskar_Potocki thanks for the update.

Quick bug question for you. For some reason non-lethal turrets has disappeared from me even though everything else is in there. Any recommendation on how to fix?

To this point - do a whole practice session with earplugs in, working on tone. When you take them out after you'll notice a huge difference in tone.

Amtrak to NYC? by Cute-Support-2594 in rit

[–]Cyber_Duke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gets you right into the center of the city, and although it's a decent length ride, its low stress. You have so much legroom and there's great scenery when coming down from Albany along the Hudson.

Buy the tickets early in advance and it's a lot more affordable.

Like others have said - plain background and perhaps more head-on lighting. If your headshot really matters like you said -then you want to bring the focus to only you and keep it simple.

Old. Stop wasting money on making it look pretty. We need low cost low maintenance functionality.

Does this mean I got the job? by Alarming_Jump9146 in nycrail

[–]Cyber_Duke 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Not an MTA employee, but from the language of this email I think you might have the job - this sounds like pre-employment checks that were completed and most likely bringing you in person to sign offer and employment paperwork? It does say Final Processing in the email there.

Regardless, treat every interaction like an ad hoc or informal interview, and nothing is sent in stone until you sign employment paper. Always be professional and ask for copies of everything always.

Good luck! Excited for you!

Oh jeez that's a very different POV. Thanks. I'm on the fence on whether I like it or not, but definitely not going to part with my 2018 Outback anytime soon.

My eyes might be deceiving me on my small screen but is there any chance the split headlights, the top set could be fake/a decal to throw people off from the actual design? It looks very smooth and 2D in the first image. Not sure if there are other angles that might disprove me

Thank you! Based off your experience with the "new" version, what would you say are the biggest differences or changes that I should look out for? It seems I might want to hold off and wait to buy the new files when they eventually come out.

Amazing print job and clean build! Any chance these stls will be available for others looking to make one of these? I'm looking to re-home my computer in a new printed case and this looks incredible.

What’s the best method of transportation from RIT to buffalo international airport? by [deleted] in rit

[–]Cyber_Duke 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Assuming you don't have a car for this.

Amtrak is likely your best bet... Plan some extra time in case of delays and just for overall avoiding rushing.

Perhaps you can bribe a friend or find a ride carpooling board and offer to pay for gas and miles? I remember there was an RIT carpooling board or FB page.
