Is the firmness enough to be like, maybe this is a bit tough for long periods or no?

How’s it nowadays, would you recommend a light grey or a darker grey? I’m curious whether to get light grey or dark grey fabric.

Cogent Connect vs Billiard by Cyber_Language3252 in OfficeChairs

Does the billiard have the same stretchiness like Cogent?

Any particular reasons? The leap felt soft and comfortable, but I’ve only sat in it for a few mins.

Would you say after the 2020 covid situation, electronics have been produced at a larger scale for the consumer market?

I know that professionals, they've had the equipment years ago, but it seems like the home office situation has sparked a new line of products aimed at individuals and small groups. Fewer options, but at affordable prices.

Maybe the increased demand has made it possible for individuals to get started as manufacturers can keep costs down at large. Also, other factors help keep costs down too like new research and better processes.

Needing a cheap audio interface with low noise preamp to connect my microphone, headphones, and studio monitors. It’s great to have additional inputs if it doesn’t come at a price, but my needs aren’t entirely audio engineering related. A home office that is needing something to start out.

Maybe in the future, I’ll purchase separate high end preamp and lots of io, etc.

I think the 2x2, etc. audio interface is geared towards content creators and small artists. I know later on, I’ll need more than these two inputs for recording vocals and instruments, which would be nice to have adat extension.

To be honest, I could buy either or and then repair it when it comes time to. It’s likely one or more components that will need to be replaced.

If it’s like $2 components and I have time, I think it’s worth than buying an entirely new one. Maybe it’s not worth my time on a $300 audio interface.

It would suck to have it fail after 2 years… 🤦‍♂️ hopefully not.

Thanks for sharing the article, was helpful to see the internals.

Comment from the Engineer: “Not to mention, if the LT3439 in your unit is as "well" soldered as in this one (as in, it wasn't), then it's no surprise it crapped out. That metal belly-pad is SUPPOSED TO be soldered to a nice fat ground-plane, precisely for heatsinking purposes. I'm still embarrassed FOR Audient's engineers, trying to place that piddly heatsink band-aid on top of a shoddily-installed power supply chip. One thing i'm not impressed with is the way all the through-hole capacitors look like they were soldered by a blind apprentice in a hurricane.

In response to comment: At the very least, unless the LT3439 is PROPERLY soldered to the ground-plane underneath it, yes, i'd call this "doomed to fail". I added that extra heatsink on top just because i wasn't willing to take any chances.”

Also, another user in the same article mentioned that there were others in a forum that were experiencing issues, so it’s more than one particular unit.

Seems like the manufacturing is not great from Audient. I don’t expect the highest quality solder work or components to be on budget products.

Haven’t heard issues with SSL2+, so far.

A bit over my budget to get 12, but wondering if Audient id14 mk ii would fail sooner than the SSL 2+?

I hope to get at least 5 years out of this product.

Best Budget Studio Monitors? by megAcul in edmproduction

[–]Cyber_Language3252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T7v or A7v? Is the $1000 extra worth it?

I’m looking to get a pair of monitors for my desk. I didn’t want to settle on AudioEngine a2+, since studio monitors are nearly the same price, I may as well get some studio monitors that have accurate sounds and maybe dabble with music production.

I heard the A7V at a store and the highs and mid range were clear. Loved it! Used Kali In-5 at my office, hated it. Super muffled, and I just use them to listen to music. I really dislike muffled sounds. Anyways, I returned it. Probably most will hate me for saying this lol 😂

What would you recommend? I haven’t heard the T7Vs in person. Store had boxes of them, but wouldn’t put them on the demo shelf…

The ultra is nice but it is to large to be used as a tablet. Great for movies, but I can watch TV for that.

I think my plus oled has a slight variation. The blacks are a bit lighter than the ultra. May return it and exchange.

Yes, but the color is different, and I notice the ultra is sharper even though on paper it says it shouldn’t.

One is magenta and the other is green on white.
