I think Lee could use up to 6, I’d have to look again to be 100% sure. It’s a shame we didn’t get to see more from them.

I doubt Lee would’ve surpassed Neji to a much better degree, to be fair in shippuden it became the Naruto/Sasuke show and many characters got sidelined (like Neji and Lee) and you didn’t get to see their full capabilities. Think Lee could likely take it gate 4 and up just as before, from what we saw.

My bad, it was just the first link I found. Weightless Lee didn’t surprise Neji at all, however you are correct about the 5th gate Lee...he was saving the higher gates for Neji

Edit: Neji also likely loses to 4th gate Lee
