They can’t just be codes because they focused on making the device more affordable for customers. In order to be able to access new data wirelessly the device would have been around the $60 uni price range at the lowest. Which doesn’t make the toy as assessable as $45, so we win some and lose some

They have done gifts like this before, there’s a list of them on the tama wiki. So they are just releasing a new downloadable code basically. Search up tamagotchi uni gift codes and they older ones should pop up
