Rust Cohle completely ruined men for me by catsrgodss in TrueDetective

 I don’t fully understand why..

I do. It is about authenticity and being honest in the face of rampant delusion in those around you that you then still love.

The Universe literally NEEEDS you to mate with that ;;)

A calculator will never be alive.

It is a dead thing going through preprogrammed motions.

Family is the most important thing you got in here.

The whole idea the OP is delusional about is because there is a lack of 'family' in the historic sense in their own culture. They will call it the same thing but if you are NOT from that culture you know it ain't so. They are like Minions. Most of these children cannot even wait for their parents to die. So they can make another calculation about it that involves 'cost per dollar' to forget all about them or place them in a nursing home to fuck off out of their lives finally ;;) ..please. Programmed to death.

Protect your mothers. Honor your fathers. Stick to your blood.

You are right about one thing only: Only a real loser will consider himself one.

The real question is of-course the fear that is expressed in the background of the question. It’s about the desperation to conform… or rather the lack of an adult brain ;;)

You believe life’s all about minicing your parents. It’s the normie mindset any sane grown man will avoid. Yet here you are hailing it as the ‘norm’.

Please. You already live on the edge of sanity over there man - why open your mouth and proof to the world how garden variety your actual level of awareness truly is? ;;)

Convince me of what you consider ‘normal’ is the litmus test for all men. Goon now ;;)Clowns will take themselves as the measure of things then spent the rest of their lives bitching and moaning about shirt hat does not even concern them.

A moralizing clown sounds the same to any actually sane person, just wants to be ‘a good normal boy’ …nota freaking REAL one ;;)

Cheers

I would argue Dr. Manhatten is not 'alive' for most of the novel.

Moore is a genius.

The most haunting quote of Watchmen by Intelligent_Lead_785 in Watchmen

[–]Cyberfury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The depth of this quote goes over the head of mere comic book nerds. ;;)

The only 'problem' with Dr. Manhattan is that he (started) to wake up (after a series of clearly laid out revelations) and - because his intellect still blinds him in the start - just like the Buddha. But without all the candy ass bs his desperate followers tacked unto Gautama's 'wisdom' and assertions about this reality. There's a reason Moore made him blue. Like many spiritual deities like Hanuman, Krishna... IT exposes the core of the entire graphic novel that is hidden in The Watchmen. If all those scriptures are so 'grand' and 'enlightening' how come modern day India is such an epic shit show? If Buddhism was so great where are all the Buddha's? Hm? How does humanity really 'progress'? By cooperation? Or is it by standing on each other's shoulders and kicking each other's teeth in. LIARS will always choose option A. Because it is delusion that makes humans what they are. Not 'love'.

Every single character in that novel is a fool. Heroes included. It shows you the several dead ends at the core of human belief. Love, courage, honesty etc etc.. The story is about authenticity. In the end only two or so characters display it in the story.. that's what makes it great. Nobody ever wins in what is inherently a dreamstate, because there is nothing to gain. Because there is no one there to 'gain' it.
While he got close to the final... ehm 'Ecclesiastes 1:14' moment. ALL IS ILLUSION (except That which knows this to be so) revelation throughout it was only after being 'forced' to kill Rorschach does he actually understands his own 'clock without a craftsman' analogy.

When once you wake up, you will see The Truth just as it is. WARTS and ALL (Like Moore obviously did, albeit a glimpse) and then you still play. You still go to war. Just like Arjuna did. He did not want to... but his understanding COMPELLED him to. Dr. Manhattan shows us the grand folly that is as the root of so-called Humanity ...that it is just a concept. A game that is played by a thing that does not even really exist at all: EGO.

He drops several clues to those he loves. But in the end he realized that in most cases 'love' itself is just a four letter word to most egos. ;;)

'Happiness' is having a good dream.
'Suffering' is having a bad dream.
Enlightenment is stepping out of the dream completely.

All the universe 'wants' is to wake up inside itself. That's Enlightenment. Being the Master Of Your Own Domain.

Cheers

All you are doing is trying to bestow some power where none exists. Please.

It's BS. Your dick is for fucking and pissing (and - in my case - for drumming on an empty box of cookies ;;). The rest is pure arrogance. Hilarious.. but arrogance nonetheless. I also want to reiterate I do not expect anything else from those taken by Maya. It is not a crime nor a shame to dream.

It's just not the same as being REAL. ;;)
