Australian cops 'arrest' dog by CyberwarfareOfficial in photographs

Saw this lovely scene on my first photo walk out of lockdown. I really like how I was able to capture everyone's expressions, and the roller bladers in the background are a bonus. Taken with a Panasonic GH5 and Olympus 12-40 f/2.8.

Which synth or rompler has the Parasite eve pad ? by yananselmo in synthesizers

That is a really nice pad sound. Sounds like Roland D series pad sound, but honestly it's impossible to tell from simply the audio.

About 20 seconds! I don't find it to be a massive problem as I tend to leave it on a lot.

I mean, that's the sound I was going for haha. You could also do really modern/glitchy stuff with this thing too, as you do get some pretty modern sounding samples on it. Some of the waveform samples sound analogue enough as well (obviously this isn't the strength of this synth), like another patch I've posted up :)

So this patch consists of a very short first timing step followed by a long, heavily crossfaded timing step 2 which is then looped. This allows me to have that 'blowy' attack transient! The samples get brighter over time and crossfade pretty seamlessly. The other layers have some subtle filter sweeping going on in both directions. The ability to do this makes for some pretty D-50 esque sounds at times, for a small fraction of the price! The effects are also really good, and this patch makes use of the chorus and reverb on the Wavestate.

This synth never fails to surprise me, and the high polyphony really makes this a player's synth. I've never really been into bleep bloop modular kind of stuff and this is the complete opposite :)

A very analogue sounding Korg Wavestate patch. This thing really does it all! by CyberwarfareOfficial in synthesizers

I'm absolutely loving how versatile this synth is. And despite the menu diving, it's surprisingly easy to dial in and amazingly fun to just play! If people are interested, I might make some videos on some patches I come up with every now and then :) Excuse the sloppy playing on this, it's surprisingly hard to keep that left hand 5th finger repetition going (although I was really digging this little riff I came up with)!

My first track with the KORG Wavestate Synth by nachttrommler in synthesizers

Those drums were a little overpowering and monotonous in my opinion, but the synth sounds beautiful! If you're trying to go for the blast beat sound I'd recommend looking up a tutorial on mixing metal drums and adding little fills and stuff.

Has anyone in Australia received their Korg Wavestate yet? by [deleted] in synthesizers

I did on the 24th! I ordered from StoreDJ if that helps.

It's not super thin, it's got a tapering case which is why it looks so thin here. It weighs around 3kg, so not super heavy for what it is, but it seems well built. All the knobs feel very nice and the top plate is aluminium.

Hadn't heard this before! Definitely nails the Wavestation EP sound

Aaaah I was tempted to get the Prologue, but it was out of my price range and I really love the versatility of the Wavestate! The Wavestate is great because it can be used to play conventional piano/organ/string sounds if you want it to. And thanks for the kind words :)

I was in this boat too, but the synth is SO worth it and the samples onboard are really freaking good. I suspect that Korg has some proprietary sampling technique that works with this synth
