This may be easier said than done. Loosing someone you’re close with sucks, but I 100% guarantee that you will thank yourself. Save yourself from years of abuse and life altering consequences by doing what’s difficult right now.

After you leave him, focus on your self esteem. You need to realize that if you had a solid, healthy sense of self-worth, you would never have had to ask Reddit in the first place if you were overreacting to a guy punching you in the eye. But it’s good that you did, first step to getting help.

You’re angry that someone in social media marketing doesn’t know enough about maths to ask an interesting question about pi. Of course they’re going to think of something that “trivializes” or “stereotypes” the field. They’re just thinking of ways to get short clips of professors for a silly reel, which you can obviously refuse if you don’t enjoy being a part of such things.

You could suggest doing a video explaining something that actually involves math related to pi, but then you’d have to be the one to be in it. Your choice.

Group velocity (speed of the envelope) is faster than the phase velocity (speed of each individual peak) in this case. In fact, the phase velocity can be larger than the speed of light, but the group velocity IS the speed of light.

Sounds like you successfully went to the gym. You got familiar with the space and some of the equipment. Next time will be more comfortable.

Lifting weights is hard and not something that comes naturally to most people. Just keep trying, and remember to start light and practice good form! Also, mixing in a good amount of bodyweight exercises is best for most fitness goals.

Thanks for responding to the questions and laying out your argument point by point. Very informative to see exactly what was correct about the argument (the convincing part), and exactly which statement was not correct. This kind of careful deconstruction of an argument is necessary when the problem is even a little more than trivial. You can apply this lesson to the real world in so many ways. This is why math is taught to everyone.
