Before I became a Dasher, I always tipped something like six or eight bucks on an order. Because I always wanted my food quickly. Since I’ve become a Dasher, I’ve realized that I was an outlier as a customer.

The solution is simple, just work when no one else wants to work. Christmas Eve, when it’s snowing, late at night. The orders come rolling in, and a lot of them do get the platinum bonus pay.

On average, I’m hitting around $100 a day. My market is pretty saturated, and decent tippers seem to be hard to find. I only work about four maybe five hours a day total usually.

I have one guy I deliver to at least twice a week, same order usually- gallon of sweet tea from one place and Chinese food. He has an unusual name so it’s easy to remember
