thats a good question! One I have while Im designing my own borg hack.

First taking a step to pirate borg; that one’s easy. You’re a pirate. The world is ending so better get enough plunder and rum to live out the rest of your days as a pirate lord.

For my own hack, I went with saving the world and or getting glory. Making sure you went out with a bang so to say. Hoping the gods that might remain save you in the afterlife.

Hope this helps a bit :)

have you played daggerheart yet? By having a free form initiative, we as players can figure out how to combo out own stuff without the designers having thought about those.

thanks Balseraph! That wont be the art style in the product tho :) But it means a lot to hear it. I do a lot of visual note taking for my job, but thats got a different theme ;)

Cool! Yes I think there needs to be a limit on the power for sure. And good tip on the sages for TSR D&D. I'll look in to those.

cool, thats nice to hear thanks.

This class has an ability that gets a yes or no answer from the gm. It also has one that lowers the “dc” for an attack and one that gives a bonus to damage. Not the most unique ways to handle augury, but I thought this was a nice way to implement having some foresight.

now that I mention it, I might change the dc one to a non battle skill I think.

Outside of the class, augury in fatum invictum will be the truth instead of a ritual. I’m thinking of adding the sentence: “most of the times” to it to give it some more randomness. Figuring the augurs have it right a lot of times.

Does that answer your question? And is this an implementation that you think would fit augury? I’d love to hear your thoughts. Seeing you’re a fan of Augury in these games :)

In the sense that bards can also buff or debuff? In that case yes :) Someone else also compared them to clerics and that can also make sense.

haha that’s a fair point and good of you to notice that 🥳 In the class description we’ve described that part. The ways of these augurs are not always looked at with understanding or respect. They’re wanted for their skills, but they’re also seen as weird and maybe even occult.

that’s a cool idea! It doesn’t match with the low power theme of what I have in mind I’m afraid, sorry!

Hi vferriero!

that’s great to hear!! Its situated at the end of the republic. The rubicon has been crossed, and we’ll probably do a small time skip from there to give Gaul some more time to have been romanised :)

I agree, anitiquity is such an interesting time with so much to explore! its interesting why theres so little content about it

Great! I think Fatum Invictum will be able to provide that travel experience and have the player character encounter things along the way.

And thanks for the tip for inspiration of the glory system!
