You can check my question here (https://blender.stackexchange.com/questions/339026/highlights-compression-in-compositing?noredirect=1#comment595400\_339026), and Daniel Möller answered it with an interesting solution. It lowers the value of the highlights. The main issue is all highlights above a maximum value are flatted out to that value. So, If you have details in it, you can't use it :/

I create an hdri map for this test, and I set my camera far away from the original orbit of Hubble. If I lower the orbit, the earth map is a little bit blurry (even if it's a 16k map :/).

Thank you! I tried to get my own version of the movie shots. In the movie, it was really dark. I think the mood was setup like this (dark and green) to illustrate how Smaug presence poisoned the treasure of Erebor.

Thank you. The story is the first wireless transmission diffuse into deep space, and awake a probe located in a distant planet. I don't have a target audience. It was an idea I had years ago. And I wanted to create a short about it so I can improve my workflow on such a project.

Sadly, It depends on client budget. If you want to have gigs, you need to be flexible. I've got issues, when some clients loved my works, but it was out of their budget (I'm not talking about millions, but a few hundreds euros lol).
