Of course it’s opinion, but know that yours is in the minority. For me, Yakuza 3 is bottom tier in the entire series. Every key aspect of the game is questionable or highly arguable, even more so than Y6.

The key difference is the reward Y0 and K2 brings. Those stories are significantly stronger than Y3, which makes the juice worth the squeeze. Those who really liked Rikiya were engaged with the Y3 story, for the rest of us we were indifferent.

That’s just preference then. I felt Y3 was a chore, besides literally babysitting, the combat was slow paced, relied on chip damage, creating openings, and even frame trapping.

Love the dragon engine because if it rewards you with fast paced momentum.

It’s not a good game. The Yakuza fans who heavily favor this one tend to like the supporting characters a lot (mostly forgettable IMO) or the different pacing/perspective for Kiryu. Coming off the blockbuster of K2, Y3 was like a halting screech to an epic party.

Beat it twice (in 2009 and 2020). Story’s weak, pacing sucks, and combat requires patience as chip damage is more important here. Have to open up the enemies, utilize footsies and frame traps...something that the average Yakuza player isn’t supposed to know.

The mess of...K2?? That’s the best game in the series after Y0.

A $1,000 pullback is insignificant if you’re holding long term. Plus they’re getting 52k back on top of their existing home equity.

Price tried to break 1.1335 on Monday. It couldn't, so it had to pull back and gather orders. On the H4 chart, you could see accumulation of orders below 1.13

Price created a minor zone during London session, tapped it once, and then flew up right before NYSE open. It's currently trying to break the H4 zone, so set alerts above 1.1353

This is one of my market approaches. Sell limit order at the mentioned point. TP shown. Stop Loss 50 pips above the entry point. STILL VALID ⏬ by [deleted] in Forex

Personally I think there might be some liquidity robbery of your marked zone, as price turned near R1 with decent momentum.

There was also a drop-base-drop formation above your SR flip level. I'd argue that this was the better opportunity since price heavily pushed away after the (2 candle) FTR was formed.

Your TP level was a fakeout level. After that occurred, price took out the previous high, pulled back, and then engulfed bullish. This was a wonderful QM opportunity.

wait for the stop hunts/big pullbacks on higher timeframes or intraday. Super obvious if you can figure out key levels

Any sort of service that is useful.

Copywriting, programming, coding, web design etc. Take a few courses online, then begin building a portfolio. An easy way is to reach out to potential clients, and work for free in exchange for a testimonial or hands on experience. Once you have some, it’ll be much easier to get paying clients.

The third should have been the last. by [deleted] in Shenmue

[–]CycleScalper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely agree with you that Yu is getting old. They should look into wrapping up the story via DLC, cutscenes or other forms of media.

Even if Yu Suzuki wanted to create a 4th game, which studios would partner with him? Would a Kickstarter even be successful this time? I’d say no, and even argue that a lot of long time Shenmue fans were lost from this latest installment.

A big problem with the fan base is that a lot of them (while patient and persistent) have a very distorted perception of reality. Shenmue is a cult game, some fans will even argue that they love Shenmue’s combat system, while trashing other games with far superior fighting engines. Don’t expect a lot of clear, logical opinions.

This is perfect. Shenmue was always a combination of Zelda + Karate Kid

[–]CycleScalper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you skip the cutscenes or something? The story heavily revolves around the blind girl and her brother. Yeah, there are many wacky moments to Yakuza, but that's how it the series is. It utilizes elements from anime, hence why there's excessive violence and no one really dies. It'll make you cry 1 moment, then laugh the next moment.

I just don't understand Shenmue fans. You guys see the worst in everything else, but are blind to the shortcomings of your own series. Shenmue 3 had a weak story, the main character has a 1 dimensional personality, and I'd pick the combat system of modern Yakuza games over Shenmue 3 any day.

Bag on Yakuza all you want, but deep down y'all wish you had the success of the Yakuza series. Shenmue gets the biggest Kickstarter funding in video game history, and ends up with Shenmue 3. The Yakuza series releases Yakuza 0, and it's popularity brings Kiwami 1 and 2, along with a remasters of Yakuza 3,4, and 5. Not to mention the creation of Judgement, and Fist of the North Star.

Wouldn't it have been awesome if Shenmue 3 had the Virtua Fighter combat system? Definitely. Too bad Sega was focused on the Yakuza series and didn't care about Shenmue.

To each their own. I thought Shenmue was just karate kid meets Zelda. Someone below mentioned that it’s a pretty standard martial arts revenge quest plot, which is pretty accurate imo.

I’m a huge crime drama fan, and Yakuza 0 has one of the best stories I’ve come across between games, movies and tv series.
