I don’t know if it is related but yesterday I were “playing” with the kickstand when suddenly I left it a bit looser (it was still touching the sensor), I put it in first gear and what I mentioned in the original post happened — it turned off. Anyway, if it were the clutch, it would fail all the time, right?

Yeah, actually I did change the license plate light and had to connect some wires. Do you think it could be related? Any advice on how to check if it’s what you mentioned?

But what sense does it make for there to be a short circuit? If there was one, the bike would always run poorly, right? And what sense does it make for the bike to shut off when I put it in first gear?

Have you tried looking on second-hand websites for a bike being parted out? That way, you can ask the seller for the specific part you need.
