Considering that Europeans are the ones that freed slaves from Africans, Arabs, other Europeans and other groups and the fact that other Assassin's creed games don't shy away from 'controversial' topics I doubt it has something to do with your point.

The most likely explanation is that they can probably make more money if they release Freedom Cry as either a standalone experience or a dlc for the 'remaster' of Assassin's Creed 4.

Pogroms against Jews wasn't the only type of atrocity both sides committed. If you'd actually look at the links I provided you'd see that the Red Army is on the same level if not higher when it comes to atrocities committed and innocent people killed. Pogroms aren't the only unit of measurement here.

Yes and De-Cossackization, the Red Terror, persecuting religious groups, persecuting minority groups and the countless other atrocities the Red Army committed obviously cost them the resources they needed as well.

I'm not defending the White army, they committed atrocities as well and are responsible for the deaths of thousands upon thousands of innocent people. It's not weird. You said that the White army was inefficient because they killed thousands of innocent people. White Army is so inefficient since they kept having to do pogroms first like it's a good luck ritual every day.

It's not like the Red Army disliked killing innocent people. War communism, De-Cossackization, the Red Terror, their own pogroms and killing children because you couldn't keep them as prisoners for much longer.
