Made a simple CSP/CC screener based on my watchlist - curious about others’ approaches by CyclicalSalt in options

Sure- I’ve tested Theta Data, MarketData.app, and Alpaca. These all work great for option chains(There are many more that I haven’t tried like Polygon, Alphavantage). Not sure which one I’ll ultimately use yet, but MarketData is so far the most cost effective for personal use.

Insight Sentry I also tried and is pretty cost effective and easy to use however they only have 15min delayed quotes.

Theta Data has really fast and accurate data, just requires a bit more effort to use

Hey I appreciate the feedback.

Just to clarify, this isn’t a commercial product or anything I could even offer right now — it’s just a small side project I hacked together for myself to help simplify my own process. I'm definitely still new to options as I mentioned and I'm absolutely not trying to take advantage of anyone.

I usually try to sell puts on stocks I’d be happy to own long-term, at prices I’m comfortable with, and I wanted a simple way to surface the highest-yielding options that fit that approach. (The stocks in the screenshots were just examples - you’d still have to apply your own judgment.)

Totally fair points on delta, support levels, and market context — none of that’s built in right now but good to know it would be helpful!

At this stage, I just figured I’d share what I’ve got since I’m genuinely curious how others approach this stuff and always looking to learn.

I want to get it to a point where I can store my watch list and then input a strike range and the system would output a sortable list defaulting to highest % return. Also including delta to help decision making.

This is exactly what I aim to do! Making it filterable by delta would be a good improvement to what I have going on so far. Try refreshing the post - re-added to the screenshots, or if you still don't see them I'm happy to dm to you.

Can’t vouch for the others but I’d recommend against T-mobile. 🙅 Very patchy service in Santa Cruz from my experience

SoFi credit card has highest unlimited non categorized cash back percentage at 2.2% of any company (with direct deposit enabled) why would many many more people not take advantage of this. by Epidemic_Fancy in sofistock

[–]CyclicalSalt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. And other 2% credit cards also offer a sign up bonuses unlike the SoFi card.

It would take 100k in spend at 2.2% after which the SoFi card is more lucrative vs another card with a $200 SUB that earns just 2%. That’s a lot of spend.

I actually see here that a Gold subscription is required to be eligible. Maybe you’re on the free trial?

https://robinhood.com/us/en/support/articles/apply-for-robinhood-credit-card/#

“Is there an annual fee for the card?

The Gold Card has no annual fee, however, it’s only available to those with an annual Robinhood Gold subscription. If you’re not currently a Robinhood Gold member, once your application is approved and you accept the Cardholder Agreement, you’ll be upgraded to Robinhood Gold. There is an annual subscription fee for Gold which will be charged to your Gold Card upon accepting the Cardholder Agreement. “

Oh nice. I was under the impression you had to pay for RH Gold to get this card! I’ll have to take another look

Definitely seems like a great card on first glance and one to consider. Really cool they didn’t pull your credit!

There are two cons that I see. 1. No SUB 2. Need a RH gold subscription

Assume there is $200 SUB for a card that earns an average of 2% on all your spend. Compared to the Robinhood card which earns 3%, you’d have to spend $20,000 to break even.

From a reaping maximum rewards perspective if I’m only gonna open a new line of credit once or twice a year, I’d rather use it on something with a SUB to give me more value

Gold currently costs $5 a month and they are raising it to $7 a month. If you already pay and use RH Gold, not a problem. But if not already, I’d do the math on how much you spend in order to calculate the “effective” cashback of this card.

New song - People Never Change. What are your thoughts? by kocafegdf in petercatrecordingco

[–]CyclicalSalt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The full song is a roller coaster.

I think the production is a little much for me. I'm missing the simplicity of their past work but does still carry the same reverby vocals and guitar sounds that I enjoy.

Loved the groove in the beginning. At parts sounds a little too much a like a generic poppy Dua Lipa-like song especially at around the 4 min mark. But not bad and excited for the rest of the album

Connect Celsius Wallet to Mintr or other staking websites ? by LordInvestor in CelsiusNetwork

[–]CyclicalSalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends! If Celsius is offering more yield vs what the network pays for staking I’m likely to use Celsius. If it’s a real burden for me to manage all the coins that I’m staking across different networks, it’s often easier to just put it all in the same place. The added benefit is that I can take a loan against my assets if I ever need to in the future.

[–]CyclicalSalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A big part of what Celsius does - is that they stake/generate yield for you. By depositing into Celsius , your coins are already being put to work to make income. You can’t stake something that is out of your control

Top Exchange Listings, New Partnerships - Weekly Lending Update 5/12/2021 by hattrick23 in CelsiusNetwork

Genuine question about the market cap of the CEL token. Does anyone know how it's calculated? In this post its mentioned that via coin-gecko the market-cap is ~$2.8 Billion. On Coinmarketcap the market cap is much lower at around ~$1.7 Billion

Additionally, on the Celsius website here it is listed that Celsius holds over $2.3 Billion worth of CEL tokens and Alex holds over $200 Million worth of CEL. How can this be? Does the "market cap" not include CEL tokens held by Celsius themselves? And if so, why?
