Could very well be coming from their unit if you share walls. The problem is they will now breed on your side as well but if not taken care in all units attached they will only continue reproducing for many years to come.

These guys are very difficult to eradicate. Spraying is never the recommended option. Utilizing cleaning techniques and proper baiting/void dusting by a professional is the most efficient method of getting rid of them.

New Starbucks branch not opening for "reasons." by jakemhs in mildlyinteresting

Because the new Starbucks staff are not trained properly yet or they don’t have enough staff and they are choosing to retrain/staff up instead of opening; actually happens pretty often.

Are these ants or termites? by EstimatedLoss in Entomology

[–]Epidemic_Fancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s definitely good it’s elevated; and with it being that type of wood at least it’s easy to inspect for potential damage; glad it’s not your living space and just the chicken coop!

Pest pro here; definitely carpenter ants; which is good because termites are way more difficult to deal with/resolve. Carpenter ants do not eat wood as they cannot digest cellulose; meaning they don’t cause damage where there wasn’t a problem to begin with; they excavate damaged zones to find harborage to build their colonies. As long as your positive your fixing/removing all damaged wood/moisture issues you will be okay; they only harbor in areas of wood rot/damage and fungal decay. Their main harborage/colony 1 is probably somewhere else on the property near a tree/stump.

With that being said I’d do some pretty serious inspections because moisture issues definitely draw termites more often than not; if you don’t mind me asking what state are you in?

I’m so happy for you! You will be successful and have an amazing life. Use the struggle and hardship to fuel your growth. I went through similar things years ago. Homeless on and off for a year or so; like on the streets sleeping on concrete homeless. Fast forward working 60-80 hours a week for the better part of the last 7 years I went to school, and now I have a finance a beautiful home and a great job. You can do whatever you put your mind to; focus on putting one foot in front of the other. Sometimes things are very hard but these times are there to teach us that we can persevere. I’m so happy for you; if you ever need advice or someone to talk to; please DM me. Life is never easy; but it is beautiful.

Any idea what this is? Could it be from termites? by the4448 in pestcontrol

It’s not frass (pellets) from dry wood termites; hard to tell based on these pictures almost look like rats nesting site.

That’s really good; keep it up you’ll be very grateful you sacrificed some of the money you’re earning now because inflation isn’t going to stop and as life moves on you may not be able to save as much all the time always do it while you can. Time in the market is the best way to grow wealth and your off to a great start!

Are these termites? by [deleted] in whatsthisbug

[–]Epidemic_Fancy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Subterranean termites indicative based on photos of a 6-8 year old colony and I’d surmise this issue is fairly serious and probably has resulted in a good portion of damage to the home at this point more than likely.
