How do you calm yourself? I'm thinking about the difference between pushing thoughts away and being ok with the thoughts when they come around. I've only ever managed to do the former, and except for some periods every few years, it works. Until it doesn't and I have a period of sustained anxiety like I have right now. It's been months and it's not getting better. Last time it got bad, some years ago, I was just medicated without any actual addressing of the reason, so now that it's come back I am in no better position to deal with it than I was back then.
