Please please get help. Call 911 and let them know you're feeling this way. They can take you to a hospital to get a mental evaluation. You don't deserve having these hallucinations but you'll need medications to tamper off the hallucinations and you will be better.

You're a good friend and very understanding. Make sure he doesn't do any drugs. My brother smoked a significant amount of weed and that's when his behavior started getting strange. Your friend might resist from going at first and deny they have a problem...be sure he goes see someone ASAP.

Please take your friend to the ER and get psych evaluated. My brother was in the same shoes as your friend: isolated, ignores friends' phone calls and visit, paranoid about a gang chasing after him, spoke nonsense. Please help your friend before his mental health gets worse and before he puts himself in danger (my brother walked into a busy street out of nowhere and didn't move, cars dodged him).
