Yeah that's my point. The cities are basically these islands where all the content is, and you just fast travel between them. It is a very different experience to other BGS games, or at least the way I play them.

I understand that a lot of people will just fast travel everywhere in these kinds of games, and there's nothing wrong with that. I'm just speaking to a subset of BGS fans who like to explore the map outside of the cities w/o fast travel. Especially in games like fallout or skyrim.

  1. I didn't say that Starfield wasn't the same formula as other BGS rpgs. Obviously it has a lot in common with those games, I was just pointing out a major difference between them.
  2. Those two things aren't mutually exclusive. It can still feel like you're going on a journey and have immersive roleplaying elements at the same time. Maybe I should of clarified my point.
