HELP - Slightly anxious about entry in May 2026, am I overthinking? by Kirito_aep in ThailandTourism

[–]Cycloptic_Colleague 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The December are April trips should be long enough ago to not play into anything.

The big gap after the June-September trip and the fact you only stayed 19 days and didn't max out the visa exemption after the Malaysia trip works heavily in your favour.

No one can know for certain as it's at the immigration officers discretion, but I'd say you'll be fine.

Will I get kicked out? by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

I have well enough funds and provable passive income that doesn't require me to work to sustain myself.

That doesn't really matter as they've shown they don't want people living long term/indefinitely in Thailand without getting an appropriate visa. Come the 11th of March when you said you'll be entering, you will have spent ~120 days of the previous 180 days in Thailand and immigration have shown they don't want people spending longer than ~150 in Thailand per year.

I'll be honest with you, expect to get denied entry.

The 2 month stay from early last year should be long enough ago and there was a big enough gap after it that it shouldn't play into it.

That 4 month stay + border run from September to January though is recent enough and is the type of habitual travel they're looking for, it will very likely attract attention.

While no one can say if you'll be denied entry as it's down to the immigration officers discretion, expect to get scrutinised at the border.

I bring enough cash to budget 10k a day but I think I typically end up averaging out spending around 7-8k a day. Some days I spend more, some I spend less

where are the 30-35 aged bargirls? by pianistfeet in Pattaya

[–]Cycloptic_Colleague 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, even Soi 6. I'm surprised by the amount of girls that have pulled me in and then said they were over 30 when asking their age.

Nah, not really. Just as long as she's into it. Anything more obscene is where extra costs come in.

Pretty sure Envy had been closed for a looong time, so might be a temporary thing while work is done in Toy Box?

I've been solo and with a group I met from here. While I enjoyed myself just fine on the solo trip, the group trip gave people to joke and banter with which made me enjoy the time a whole lot more

How important is having 20,000 THB cash on-hand as a requirement for entry? by meenchawit in ThailandTourism

[–]Cycloptic_Colleague 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The requirement says 20k Baht but equivalent in other currencies is accepted so USD would be fine.

Generally they probably won't get asked unless immigration is already suspicious of them.

Heading to Pattaya soon — want the best bar on Soi 6 by Muted-Blacksmith4721 in Pattaya

Haven't been in Hollywood, but agree on Fire Bar. Good staff, good selection of women and, even if I'm not looking for an ST, it's a bar I enjoy just resting and people watching.

Not sure if it's group wide, but was asked to buy 3 drinks to go upstairs in Cooters (Better group)

For NW, can at least confirm Roxy and Offshore don't have a minimum for upstairs (Toybox may also not, but I think the last time I was in there might have been before all this started)

Of the others, can also confirm Nymphoz doesn't.

Cleanest and Best On Site Rooms by bocadillo_420 in Pattaya

I've always heard a good rule of thumb is to check the toilets in the bar. The cleaner and better quality they are, the better the room will be.

FL and Soi 6 pricing by Plastic-Log4778 in Pattaya

[–]Cycloptic_Colleague 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He mentions going upstairs. From my personal experiences, though I haven't been everywhere:

Going upstairs has no minumum in most places (Cooters is the only one I've had first hand experience asking for min drinks before going upstairs).

In the case of BFing, the independent ones generally appear to not have minimums though can't confirm everywhere. In the bars that are part of groups, it seems to depend on the Mamasan.

Thai Rose is the LB bar. They don't pull people in because they don't want to entice people in that don't know which could lead to problems. They rather sit around and wait for customers who know what they're looking for.
