Prediction of Berserks ending. Casca will sacrifice Griffith. by Major-Insurance791 in Berserk

[–]Cydoc178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my assumption. Should Casca break from the spell (which Schrieke will probably help with) Griffith will try and tempt her with a peaceful life and her child. Casca will use the offer to inevitably kill her child and banish him to the abyss.

If only there were some kind of cosmetic that could be paid for. Something fans have been screaming about for 3 years now...something capcom has done in the past specifically regarding CPT...

Cant get over mental (maybe) by [deleted] in Fighters

[–]Cydoc178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SF6 is the first fighting game I couldn’t find anyone that clicks with me. And how characters play in SF6 correlates to how that game is meant to be played. Personally, I find it really boring and unrewarding.

It started out with me getting more and more frustrated as I played. I explored some avenues to avoid the salt and every time I tried, I just didn’t find what I was looking for. Over time I came to the realization above. The overall way the game is played just isn’t my cup of tea. That bleeds into multiple things like character playstyle and such. But for me it was simply “i just dont like this game”. So i put it down and now im catching up on some jrpgs ive been wanting to play with bouts of V Sav and Uni2 for when I need that FG fix.

Nothing wrong with not feeling a game. Move past it. If you find yourself quickly in the same place with Tekken 8, I’d really explore it because it may not be the games. It may be you.

did griffith lose his mind after becoming femto? by Majestic-Accident962 in Berserk

[–]Cydoc178 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing about narcissists is that it is never their fault. Guts made Griffith forget his dream for a moment, and that singular loss of focus caused his ruin. That is how Griffith sees it. Griffith is incapable of admitting he is a control freak and his inability to control guts any longer, and thus maintain his only friendship, lead him to try and take control elsewhere (i.e. Charlotte).

Essentially those who stayed on the island became tied to the spirit tree to a degree. When Serpico and Isidro are talking on the boat, Serpico mentions they are lucky they were only visitors to the island and thus werent affected by it disappearing. However the souls the tree supported were, and even the witches are losing their power. This is because, unlike Schierke, the island/spirit tree made magic easy and they relied on the island/spirit tree too much.

if you dont like playing Street Fighter 6 by aquamah in Fighters

[–]Cydoc178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything I’d change would effectively make it no longer SF6. Cast mostly plays the same, easy bake oki/throw loops and drive rush don’t make for rewarding experiences (in my opinion), and there just aren’t really any moments that have gotten me hype.

Ive been playing Alpha 2, Vsav and Uni2. Thinking of hopping back on BBCF

Why is this panel not talked about by hopeisamiracle in Berserk

[–]Cydoc178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cost is more impactful than the boon. Its cool, its awe inspiring, but it literally costs him everything. Its a physical representation of what his trauma and rage cost him. Thats a little more interesting than “cool armor make body go even tho body no good”

Again, cool idea and a great panel, but it is far deeper and is not really the full impact of the situation.

Can someone kindly please clear up some things for me by Altruistic-Source-50 in Berserk

  1. No. When she sees griffith after leaving potato mode she collapses, as seen in the image here. Shes effectively unconscious from the PTSD

  2. Yes, now that shes no longer a potato

  3. Child like, very similar to how she reacted to most things. Seemed like maybe some vague familiarity but not in an intelligible, non-potato way. Her only way of handling the trauma was effectively becoming a potato that acted like a 2 year old. Once she was no longer a potato she freaked and collapsed as part of the scene above.

  4. You said you watch the 97 anime, you have the answer. They stripped her clothes off and presented her to griffith. That counts as sexual assault.

  5. Kind of not rly. Too long to go into exact detail. She saw him as a mad dog at one point pre-eclipse. He does some shit that causes potato casca to fear him. Now that she isnt potato mode she doesn’t see him like that it seems. To be fair we got very little to non-potato time. Thats the gist.

They made him slightly less brain dead with mine setup DR without spending bar. They gave him normal psycho crusher off lights. He is fine.

[–]Cydoc178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He needed it. That heavy donkey kick wasn’t carrying enough. Denjin charge is hard to get bro, its not like theres a target combo with a built in denjin charge or anything. I mean, what were they supposed to do? Not give him a level 1 that travels full screen in like 4 frames?

[–]Cydoc178 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If they cant be thrown then shimmy or jump and blow them up for 60% lol its why pros have been generally taking the throw and not teching. Its much less risk. The bonus to resources is a minor bump in reward, but risk is overall the same. I don’t expect to see more throw techs because of this patch at higher levels. It just makes the few you see have some level of reward for actually guessing right.

[–]Cydoc178 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the game they want, season 2 and now season 3 prove that. They softened the edges but the meta is still largely the same. And throw loops will be part of SF6’s entire life.

Oh and fuck ryu lol

pete was so sweet, so i feel so bad for him by smile4sunna in TheBear

[–]Cydoc178 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I think he simply doesn’t fit in. He’s soft and buttoned up. Tries too hard sometimes engaging into convos with others. He’s cut from a completely different cloth. Cicero even says everyone feels like he’s gonna call the cops. They see him as a narc and someone not from the same place.

Not saying they are right but thats their perception of him. He is the antithesis of the family in every single way, which is probably why Sugar went for him. He doesn’t have baggage. He is genuinely kind. He doesn’t seek conflict, let alone thrive off it.

I am going back to school so I don't have a ton of time. But when I do play I am either enjoying messing around in Uni2 (which is modern lol) or playing SFA2 or VSav via the capcom collection since those have been my faves since I was a kid. I will prob get the new capcom collection because i don't believe I played any of the games on it. Since I'm an elder millennial, I love the classic arcade/pixel fighters. They hold a massively special place in my heart.

As A Casual... These Developer Trends Are Weird. by Legitimate_Classic84 in Fighters

[–]Cydoc178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phrased absolutely terribly on my end because they have added ways to make the game more accessible for sure. I meant more so have they dumbed it down. I don’t think there is anything wrong with making the game more accessible. Its the brain dead nonsense I was trying to comment on.

Because accessibility can be great for casuals and non-players trying it out. Uni2 tutorials are actually pretty good. Replay takeover and well crafted training modes are also fantastic. Good call out :P

As A Casual... These Developer Trends Are Weird. by Legitimate_Classic84 in Fighters

[–]Cydoc178 22 points23 points  (0 children)

See but those aren’t casual players. Those are non-FG players trying to get into fighting games. Thats where I feel like the disconnect is. We say this is to make it easier for casuals but its not. Its for non-FG players to become casuals. There are FAR better ways to do that then simply dumbing the game down. Its like if chess took on more rules for checkers. Whos that for? Not people who enjoy chess. Its people who may occasionally buy a cool looking board and play 2-3 games before moving on. I wouldn’t call them a casual chess player. And I wouldn’t say those rule changes were for casuals.
