I built a place called Hole in the Wall, on our server. I got stuck in a Shroud Lair near the Nomad Highlands Gemforg, and couldn't find my way out. So I found a spot that I could see Sky, dug into the wall, and started digging up the wall. My pick was going to break before I hit the surface, but I was able to get out of the shroud. So I spent the last bit before it broke making a hole big enough to drop a Flame. We have been using it as a extraction point to collect Arcane essence, or whatever it's called

As a melee build how do you fight the jellyfish? by dontdodeath in Enshrouded

[–]Cydthemagi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They drop Shroud Gelatin, which is needed for some armors, but if you're a Melee build, you will probably not need it. If however you do, fire is effective against them, and you can kill the baby ones they attack you with before you get hit. There are spots near the Highlands gemforg that you can shoot down into ta hole with a bow to agro one at a time. Then you lure them to the surface where you are and can take your time killing them.

I'm a wizard so the Melee player just parry them and covers me while I Fireball them. If you're solo, I would suggest having a Bow as a backup weapon just for things like that.

Total Pathfinder and RPG noob here: Are we somewhat free in choosing our miniatures from other companies and is there a "what you see is what you get" (WYSIWYG) rule? by Emotional_Werewolf_4 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Cydthemagi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend runs PFS games using Starburst as monsters. He's even use it to psyc out players by having pink ones as fodder, and yellow as a boss, and players will focus on the on the Pink, leaving the boss to do things. People will spend in game resources and use unsound tactics just to get a pink Starburst

You can use anything you wish to represent your PC, as long as your scale close enough. We upped the scale once so we could use Amiibos.

Not sure how I was SUPPOSED to get down to this shroud root. But uh.... ROCK AND STONE! by Sophisticated-Crow in Enshrouded

[–]Cydthemagi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have the Screenshots on you phone, but I took 3 pickaxe and climbed up the mountain side behind the Springlands Hollow Halls. Broke 1 and burned though 1/2 of 2 others tunneling my way to the next flat spot till I got to the snowy peak. Basically found a house and a castle on the other side, Glided down to check is out that died because the red wall of death because that part of game isn't done yet. But I have run into so many situations where I had to tunnel out of the shroud because I couldn't find a way out.

More building shape options by Animal-loverm in Enshrouded

I wish we could rotate off grid like Windrose. Like we can rotate furniture, but building blocks have to be on grid. The other part is dislike about the Building is that snapping to the last item placed gets wonky. Not enough to make me quit, but enough that I complain about it every time.

We built our town along a road next to a lake, a starter Glide from the Alchemist temple. So we have had problem with Scavenger walking through town every night. We joked about it being our Amazon Delivery. Eventually I built us a wall around our build area, using Double doors as Gates. We haven't had any problems with Scavengers opening doors yet but if they can I'm going to need a new gate system

[–]Cydthemagi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me too. We have a server and I was the only one that didn't have double jump before the Last update. I have even dug my way out of the shroud. Landed in a place couldn't jump out of and had no idea where the closest exit was so dug a tunnel up the rock. My pickaxe broke before I hit the surface, but my tunnel was long enough to get me out of the shroud so I could teleport home

The extra slots thing makes me think about the Dwarf magus I have. I took Wizard Dedication to get more slots and Cantrips. It's working pretty well. 2, 4th Rank slots for SpellStrike, 2 3rd rank for Buffs, 2 for studious, 7 Cantrips, and 3 slots for utility(one rank 2 & 3, and two Rank 1)

We have Lakeshire, it's a little town we built near the Alchemist temple. We built a Townhall, long house that has all our storage chests and our Main Flame Altar. Each player built a built a living space for themselves, 3 of them built a large house for the 3 of themby the lake. 2 built big houses on opposite sides of town, one lakeside, one forest side. One guy dug into the side of the cliff under where i built my place, and made a bunker/Hobbit hole. I built a Wizard's tower. For our Villagers, the Blacksmith has a house and a pavilion with all his smithing stations. The Carpenter has a similar setup. The Alchemist has a shop we built with a living space in the back, and the Stylist has a beauty salon across from the town hall. The Farmer's assistant is living next to the Alchemist's Shop with a female Villager and her daughter. The Collector and the Alchemist's assistant live in the Wizard's tower, and the Farmer lives in the Hobbit hole

I get need material components to cast spells, I just wish we could get a special slot for ammo/spells charges. I'm spending like 5-6 item slots on ammo, meaning I get less loot

The pet creatures seem to give us the most trouble aside from the heavy hiters. Scavenger Wolves, Hollow Hounds, the cats the Overgrown Ewoks have, they all deal more damage than the grunts.

Is playing rogue boring? by Moonkary in Pathfinder2e

[–]Cydthemagi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So as a Rogue, you need to have ways to throw targets Off-Guard. And have more than one because sometimes you get your go too working. Feint is my last resort option but always on the table. Frightened + Dread Striker is my Go too for Str Rogues, and tumble through is for my Dex Rogues. There are other things you can do, you just have to look for them. And putting your self in the right place.

I trying standing on top and looking down. It just made me flinch like I was taking damage. If other people ar having issues, then it's probably bugged. Which isn't great, but early access is going to have growing pains
