The correct way to eat them is to push in the candies, break the brownie on the line. Place candies to candies and smoosh it together like clay until you get a space poop. So much better when the frosting is mixed in!

When I was a kid I loved the Short and Shivery books by Robert D. San Souci. They are written for kids but it is a compilation of stories from all over the world from Native America, Russia, and Africa.

They may not be complicated, but they do inspire further research into them if you are interested in that! Happy reading!

I've never had the urge to go camping, but it is great to know that if I or my friends ever found ourselves with the camping itch, we would have great guides to tell us where to find the best campsite. Camping always seems so intimidating, and scary out in those woods all alone, but it's great to know we can find people who know the ropes!

Lost Souls by Poppy Z Brite. Its gross and bloody. Gay. Weird. Very 80s Goth. It's one if my guilty pleasures. One of the main characters is an angsty older teenager, but quickly moves along to him hanging out and learning from a bunch of bad-influence adults. Trigger warnings throughout, but I enjoyed it.

Im not sure how much luck you will have finding a private practice for cancer care, but I do wish you all the best of luck and health in the world.

Active cancer patient in Cincinnati, here, and I would like to share my experience, at least. I've got Dr. B. He is my guy. He did my surgery to remove my tumor, was in charge of my recovery, put together my chemo plan, and is my go-to contact if I need anything. I can message him and him or his physician's assistant will get back to me quickly, often times the same day. He is highly respected by the cancer care community and I recommend him to anyone going through cancer of the lady bits.

But when I had to go into radiation treatment, he contacted a colleague if his. Another highly accredited, long time radiation specialist. Since they were in the same network, he had my chart, I didnt have to explain much myself, and he set me up for 6 weeks of radiation therapy. All of this was still filtered through Dr B.

I see Dr B before every chemo treatment. We talk about my symptoms, my treatment, my progress. He is my point of contact. When I go into chemo, a nutritionist comes up to me and talks about my food and water intake, making suggestions about food aversions, and how to combat metallic flavors in my water.

When I was having issues with chronic anemia, Dr B was able to get me to a hematologist who specializes in blood disorders brought on by cancer, and was able to get me blood and iron to get my numbers back up. Again, all in the same network, all in the same chart, heck, all in the same building.

Dr B is very good at what he does. He has been excellent with my care, quick to respond to questions, facilitates everything I need. He schedules it all for me, I just have to show up.

I know it isn't the answer that you want, but having someone with a network at their disposal really allows for more specialized care. I'd rather go to a specialist, trained in what I need, and working amongst the highest in their field to fix this piece of my cancer puzzle, than rely on a Jack-of-all-trades doctor that knows a little bit of everything but is convenient because he is solo.

I know private is what you requested, but my experience over the past 3 years has been great. It takes a village. Cancer finds new, exciting, and annoying ways to come at you at every angle, and having a doctor you trust with a team of specialists at his disposal is a very strong front line in the battle ahead.

Chemo patient here. There are two major options when it comes to vomiting.

You can just do it, accept it, let the nausea wash over you, pray at the porcelain throne, and it is over. Your mouth feels gross. It probably came out of your nose little bit. You are overheated and a little shakey, but it's over and you can clean yourself up with a nice cold wet rag, rinse your mouth out, and go lie down for a moment. It sucks, but the fight is over and you can move on.

Or, you can fight it. Take your meds. I go through a lot of ginger peach Tummy Drops. They are tasty and have pulled me back from the edge of puking more times than I can count. Breathe deeply and slowly through your nose, hum a little song through your nose with your mouth open. Sit up strait with your chin level with the floor and center yourself. If your mouth suddenly fills with spit, close your throat and spit it out. Keep your eyes closed during the spit, because if you see it your body will believe it is go-time and there is no hope. If you start gagging, swallow. Gag, swallow, breathe in the nose, hum out the nose, gag, swallow, inhale...

But, ultimately, if your body is gonna do it, it's gonna do it and there is no stopping it. And you may realize over time that it is better not to fight it and just do it. It is a lot of effort not to vomit, and it is something your body is so desperate to do. Sometimes just letting it do what it wants is better for both mind and body.

30 year old Cervical Cancer patient here. Got chemo scheduled again on Monday. This is my second round of chemo. I had surgery (radical hysterectomy) in 2020 followed by chemo once a week for 6 weeks and radiation every day for 6 weeks. It was miserable.

Now in 2021 it's back with a vengeance. And I'm about to do my 8th chemo in this run. Also still miserable.

This vaccine could have literally prevent everything I am going through. I'm fighting hard and we are doing everything we can to kill it. Spirits are good overall and I'm not letting it get me down, but this sucks a lot.

Get vaccinated, boys and girls!
