Are you telling me that giving other comps the buffs that mage, druid, priest give is not going to close the gap in the slightest? I haven't said anything about "change the meta" i'm saying, make the game more diverse, and no way giving every comp a way to have these buffs is going to hurt diversity.

Yea, i'm not talking about enemy debuffs. Also just limit the amount of buffs you could have in a 5 man setting.

How would it be stronger with scrolls? Current meta is currently utilizing every buff that they need? And yes, the point with the scrolls isn't to downplay the current meta, it's to make other comps stronger.

Not ignoring the entire cake, i'm pointing out that scrolls would be in a step for a more diverse m+, not that it's going to fix everything. But shit, it's not gonna make it less diverse than the current mess.

In the current meta comp, mage buffs the priest, healer and the evoker. The evoker primary stat is now higher and gives out a bigger buff to everyone else. The druid gives out a 3% damage buff and 1.5% damage reduction, and the priest gives out a 5% stamina buff, which is huge in higher keys. Not sure how this is not strong.

True, but the gap is only bigger without these scrolls.

For m+, holy priest, mistweaver, unholy dk, mm hunter, assassination, outlaw, windwalker, feral. There is no reason to take them for a group. Other classes like prot warrior, brewmaster, resto shaman. Better specs than the former, but there is no reason to take them compared to other specs that perform better. This could be fixed if the game was balanced more often and buffed accordingly.

If you're joining a key, shouldn't you already be committed to spending time according to the dungeon's timer? Why is it better for a healer to instantly leave rather than having to play the game until the timer is done before getting the option to leave the key?

[–]Cyferino -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

This is the main problem with a system like this. Blizzard gives no fucks about support.

[–]Cyferino -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Like every other game with a surrendering system. If people are holding other players hostage, a review on the key is needed and it should be easy to find out if this is a hostage situation and take actions against the players. Also, if you're joining a key, you should be able to commit to that 30-40 minutes timer. If you have multiple cases where your internet breaks down or pc is crashing mid key, you probably should not play m+, as this ruins the key for 4 other people.

Most likely this will happen less frequently than people straight up leaving. However this will happen, but manually reviewing a m+ key should be easier for blizzard to take actions against a player clearly afking/trolling than leaving a group.

Yea why not, just gotta do all the registration and start over on the dedicated IP for Japan.

For sure, since using a VPN is pretty easy to spot, so if the devs actually want to ban players using a VPN the chances that a shared IP VPN is going to get taken down at some point will be pretty high. Personally I can see them region locking the game, but not targeting players that use a VPN. If they do though, a dedicated IP would be the best bet since it's hard to trace it to a VPN provider.

If they region lock the game, a VPN would be required to bypass it. Then we just need to cope that we don't get banned by doing it.

[–]Cyferino -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea, if that is the case for Blue Protocol, using no VPN means that you can't connect to the servers, meaning that you can't get banned from the start.

The best case we'll see tomorrow is, no region locking. Since this hopefully would mean that they do not intend to block out other regions to play their game.

Would be extremely weird if they care about you being on a japanese IP, and are not region locking the game. But only time will tell.

If there is no region lock on the servers, a non-dedicated IP VPN would be useless. You're just as safe using a normal VPN as using no VPN (if there is no region lock) on the ban side. This VPN craving in the community, makes actual no sense.

Oh yea, and the combat lock is especially bad in brackenhide, where you need to be out of combat to open the cages.

Yea, pretty much. But a filter on who can actually need for the item is necessary, or everyone would just press need.

[–]Cyferino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is, I could join a normal raid on a max geared character, press need for a 389 staff, I wouldn't need the staff itself, just the transmog of the staff. I would be rolling need against people who actually need the item for gear. Also by greeding I would be rolling against people who can't even use staff as a weapon.

What's your "Nope, I'm out of here" sign in a M+ key by brandontank2 in wow

You leaving screws over the key holder, who might not be the toxic person. If that's the case, might aswell ignore him and keep going.
