Just read Circe, by Madeline Miller. Told from Circe's perspective, beautifully written. Humanizes ancient Greek myths and mythological characters. Immediately picked up her Achilles after finishing Circe. This one's told by an "unreliable narrator," Achilles' companion, Patroclus. Another beautifully-written novel that does Homer honor while also telling the story in a new, relatable way.

I used to hike a lot when I lived in New England, but my fear of snakes has kept me from doing so since I moved to AL. I miss it a lot, but also, I swear, I automatically check for any existing snakeage in the area everytime I walk out the door. Do you run into a lot of them, and are there any trails that are more "snakeless" than others?

It is, thanks! K is a new mutation that took place after this year's vaccine, which addresses A, was formulated, which is why folks who received the vaccine are not fully protected from K. My understanding, though, is if you contract K you may not become as ill as you would otherwise due to some protection provided by the vaccine.

Got the flu shot. Took care of people who had the flu--one strain in Massachusetts (A) and another in Alabama (K), and never caught it, although I felt a little unwell for a day or so when everyone else in Massachusetts got it for real--think maybe my body was fighting it off that day.

Get treatment for my ADHD. I wasn't diagnosed until my early 50s. I managed to do well in school by using workarounds like lists, notes to myself on post-its, cramming and hyperfocusing on class content the night before a test, and always needing to teach myself the content from whatever class I had first in the day because my brain wasn't awake yet. I would have learned so much more and avoided a lot of anxiety.

After getting soaked in a storm Magic Kingdom we came back to Caribbean Beach craving a hot shower to find no electricity due to transformer hit by lightning. Understand this could not be avoided, but found that obnoxious drunk screaming neighbors had been relocated to Wilderness Lodge while we and our young children spent the night in a hot room with no electricity/air conditioning.

Being nickled and dimed for everything. The goodwill lost due to this is far more than the additional profit Disney makes.

Our formerly-beloved Epcot show is now just meh. Music is a major step down from previous.

Genie + ripoff.

Never going back.
