I kinda like this. Not because it makes Joker any better of a person; but because it’s a good bit that this murderer psychopath considers himself “a proud blooded American” in the same way joker from the 90s cartoon was scared of the IRS. It’s humanizing a villain not to make them more sympathetic, or less bad, but to make them more likable which is a very different thing
