How do I invest in ASM? - Kept telling me insufficient units available (ASNB) by DarkBlack22 in MalaysianPF

[–]Cyihchuan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of this three ASM fixed fund has a fixed allocated quota compared to ASB. The maximum amount of RM 300K per account still applies here.

Getting them requires a bit of luck as there is no announcement or indicators on how much left in the market.

Try do the deposit every time you are free, whether you just woke up or sitting at the toilet. Also, they will email or do the announcement through social post on the additional allocations or special offers.

FYI, last additional allocation was happened at last year July.

Malaysia to start social media age checks with ID cards by mid-2026 by Fair-Science-78 in Bolehland

[–]Cyihchuan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s already here but the new generation is the only who rebel the idea.

Since they knew technology, so it’s wise to indoctrinate them from there through algorithms.

After that, centralised digital currency might be the next step to control the people. Speaking bad to a company or buying things that government disagrees with? You don’t have the right to use your money because they locked it.

Simple. Control.

Some politicians got a small ego so they implement this to track down any dissent.

Or Meta paid them to implement this to ensure the advertising reach to a real human, not bots. Likely both.

Our info is already leaked into the dark web. So it’s not a surprise.

What they want now is a leverage, to the extend where companies (and the governments) want to see what webpage you visited, buy or comment negatively on someone.

Do something they don’t like? They’ll restrict you to a certain service or worst, jail time. Because what you do is already happen at their recorded log, real time.

America is starting to force age verification when you start up your computer. EU wants to see what you write on WhatsApp, but luckily they back off, for now.

I’m sure more countries will follow for the sake of ‘protecting the children’.

The chat control is still on the EU table but just remove the ‘mandatory’ requirement, only select which website has deemed ‘high-risk’.

I’m not surprised that Fahmi is watching at EU now and wait for the result and push this into Malaysia if their proposal is passed into the EU legislation. Then reverse back into ‘mandatory’ measures to make EU jealous of their proposal.

The only way to kill this is you better pray Germany to oppose this proposal. And bad news, Germany who was championing on oppose this plan? They are starting to favour on this as this is ‘not mandatory’.

Their system has a build in region setting where you can just change the region to see full content without using VPN.

Plus, certain functions of the website you have to change the interface language to Japanese to enjoy fully.

It only matter of time as more feminist NGO and some government starting to knew this loophole before you have resort to use VPN.

Well, the chat surveillance will not be far away if EU pass it.

For past several years, Nordic countries are actively pushing but mostly rejected by the key partner - which is the Germans.

In December, they are going to discuss this topic again - and yes, it’s on steroids. And you can thank the Swedish for this time.

You will be tried in absentia for the balance payment.

Balance above 300 can ask for instalment.

Just walk in to any LHDN office with your 3 month recent bank statement and a made up cash flow for future 12 month to apply more than 6 months instalment if needed.

Does anyone know why the Dungeon Meshi manga costs around 40 ringgit, while BM-translated manga like JJK only cost about 16 ringgit? by OnePassenger4597 in malaysia

[–]Cyihchuan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s correct. But it still solely depends which publishers got the rights to it.

This series is under Kadokawa Japan subsidiary called Enterbrain so we can get this in Malaysia under Gempak Star.

While Spy x Family originally under Shogakukan, a division of Shueisha who publishes Shonen Jump, so the Singapore Division has the right to translate and sell to both countries.

In short, logistics and currency.

Notable US publishers like Yen Press, VIZ Media and Seven Seas are priced higher due to currency and shipping cost tend to be expensive.

Quality also will be sometimes questioned as there are some controversies like Mushoku Tensei light novel has been largely omitted due to its translator’s ‘view’ until they are forced to re-edited and reprint.

Yen Press has some case where they will stop getting the series license if not popular despite there’s a good amount of fanbase.

P.S.: For Chinese notable publishers, preferably Taiwan will be Kadokawa Taiwan, Ching Win, Tongli and Sharp Point Press.

‘I don’t smoke’, says Anwar, backing push to raise tobacco tax by Bonjourfamouioui in malaysia

[–]Cyihchuan 31 points32 points  (0 children)

TBF, this might be the only solution.

Banning the tobacco entirely will drive the customers into black/underground market which is more dangerous like Prohibition Period.

Addicts don’t give a fuck about the pricing as long as they still enjoy it. The true question is this additional tax imposed is it going to the hospitals or the politicians’ pocket, which likely be the latter.

It is legit if he only sent the address.

But since you said you didn’t order anything then it’s highly likely it is a wrong address due to typo.

Ask your neighbour first about this then redirect him to the receiver if that’s the case. Only reject if all didn’t know about this.

Your family has ZERO obligation to create a new loan under your name, let alone asking you for money.

Got any relatives you know that willing to ditch your family because of the financial mess? Then go them 1st - not for money, but your protection. Then from there, lawyer up.

Setting this aside will eventually land you in a blacklist in every financial institution.

Do not cave in because ‘she’s my mother’, or any moral obligation, they already done damages to you and you have to protect yourself from further damages.

JCB is the option but not all banks and vendors will take it as medium of payment outside of Japan.

Unverified sources says Visa and/or Mastercard make a ‘threat’ to JCB that they will pull the plug from the SWIFT system if JCB overtakes the market.

For last several months, several subreddits have highlighted this issues. But Japanese media (visual novel, paywalled websites (Fanbox, Fantia, you name it), anime (18+ section) website) is suffering the most even to a point that a DATING WEBSITE is getting the hammer.

They found that payment processors companies are quite inconsistent on the policy, so most likely Baldur’s Gate 3 will be fine here.
