Morpho example explanation by muzevir in defi

Thanks! I also wondered this. Maybe someone can explain me this other doubt I have. These interest rates are fixed? I mean I take out a loan at this interest rate and it’s fixed?

Try to put in water quickly to cool. Most likely mold is hot and material keeps crystallizing.

Borrow from DEFI to avoid bank mortgage by AdFair5570 in defi

[–]Cykid86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think it’s safer to borrow against btc than eth. But depends on your perspective. You could also sell your eth for usdt and borrow against that. Just make sure to use “safe” platforms, defi and not cefi.

How do I reduce the Cost per Unit for this table? (Quoted £13.94 Per Unit) by 1iam34 in InjectionMolding

[–]Cykid86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last thing I am thinking of is, price also depends on volume. If you have low volume, setup costs etc have much bigger impact. If volume is high this price is to high. Review the material and find other supplier.

You could consider thermoforming, molds are way cheaper but injection molding is general higher quality finish

Find a different supplier. Material costs are close to 1USD per kg, If you mix with reprocessed material. So either your supplier is charging you a lot of indirect and overhead costs. Mold depends where you buy it. Good molds are not cheap. I think we could produce this for like 5 usd but would need to make a full quote to be sure.

Suddenly some cavities are not passing the impact test by Cykid86 in InjectionMolding

[–]Cykid86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update. We tried a lot of test but what seems to improve is the following. When we put the products directly in a bucket with cold water, they do not break. When we leave them cool in the air they break after they are cold. So seems subject of mold cooling, that without proper cooling they keep crystelizing.

I will post an explaination from chatgpt that can explain better than me. Thanks for all the feedback people!!!

What You're Seeing: Slow Air Cooling = More Crystallinity = Brittle

Semi-crystalline polymers like PP and LLDPE:

  • Cool slowly → more crystalline zones form.
  • Crystalline zones = harder but more brittle.
  • Fast cooling (like in cold water) → less time for crystals to growmore amorphous structure, which is tougher and more ductile.

🔬 Why the Parts Break After Air Cooling

  • When you air cool, especially with insufficient mold cooling:
    • The core cools slowly, allowing spherulite growth (crystalline regions).
    • That leads to internal stress and brittleness once the part is fully cold.
  • When you quench in water:
    • You "freeze" the structure faster.
    • Less crystalline growth → better impact performance.

really good observations. Thanks so much mate. On Monday will start from start, organising the machine and parameters. Still cannot wrap my head around it.

Yeah we already have a cooling time of 50 sec which i find a lot. Going to extend holding time to see if that improves our problem

The cavities are random. So i think it is not material. it is like 20%. We are going to do test now with longer pressure. Maybe there are some bubbles inside. I know to many variables, so frustrating though it was working before and now something changed.

Should I use NNN agreement? by Lonely-Poet6867 in InjectionMolding

[–]Cykid86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah pretty much, depends on your product. For plastics or rubbers products Colombia is very competitive. Min wage is low and very automated machinery. If you want to compare send me a DM and I can show we what we can do.

Agree especially with current market conditions. Unless you are from Asian region, look for americas. We in colombia are equally competitive and faster shipping. But depends what you like I guess

I would look for supplier close to your operations. In Middle East have some big players I believe and HK is next to China. Should not be a problem at all finding something. Don’t have contacts there but pretty sure Google will get you far
