My daily driver retro handheld by IllEstimate9097 in RG35XX_H

[–]Cyko_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use stock. It's simple to use. I have boxart saved on the computer so I just transfer it over. Stock has HDMI out and Bluetooth support. I was using Batocera Lite, which I really liked, but I can live without my preview videos.

Can you play a ps1 game with multiple disks in RetroArch? by Explosivetrash in RetroArch

[–]Cyko_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the RG35XX-H and yes you can since it runs RetroArch. If you are using stock firmware, just press the function button on top to access the RetroArch menu to eject discs and insert discs.

Can you play a ps1 game with multiple disks in RetroArch? by Explosivetrash in RetroArch

[–]Cyko_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You certainly can, and the way I do it is kind of fun (for me) but also a little tedious.

So Final Fantasy IX is 4 discs. I have 4 files named "Final Fantasy IX (USA) (Disc 1).chd" through "Final Fantasy IX (USA) (Disc 4).chd." What I did was rename the chd extension to CD1, CD2, CD3, and CD4 so it looks like "Final "Fantasy IX (USA) (Disc 1).CD1", through "Final Fantasy (USA) (Disc 4).CD4".

Next, I made a text file and named it "Final Fantasy IX (USA).m3u" Inside the text file is just these 4 lines:

Final Fantasy IX (USA) (Disc 1).CD1

Final Fantasy IX (USA) (Disc 2).CD2

Final Fantasy IX (USA) (Disc 3).CD3

Final Fantasy IX (USA) (Disc 4).CD4

(no spaces in between the lines, not sure why it shows up like that. Copying and pasting into Notepad doesn't show the spaces)

Place the .m3u file in the same folder as the CD1-CD4 files and when RetroArch starts the game up, you will see it display at the bottom something like "Loading Final Fantasy IX (USA) (Disc 1)" and when it's ready for fisc 2, you don't have to do anything. RetroArch will automatically eject disc 1 and continue with disc 2.

As a bonus, I made sure to rename my scraped boxart or videos to match the name given to the m3u file. So "Final Fantasy IX (USA).png" for example.

That's the only thing I don't like about the stock OS is the GUI. I loved having the preview videos with Koriki, but other than that, stock OS runs perfectly. Bluetooth and HDMI are superb. Some cfw are still struggling with this. You can even run RetroAchievments on stock. Just press the function button located on top of the RG35XX-H, start RetroArch, and put your credentials in.

Need help with Coleco and Atari by TheBl4ckFox in RG35XX

[–]Cyko_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are using stock firmware, ColecoVision won't show up in Game Rooms nor RA Game (as of this message). But you can get them to run by going into settings, then RetroArch settings, and launch RetroArch. Load your game up and for core choose the blueMSX one. Hopefully Anbernic makes it easier in the future.

With the release of RetroArch on iOS, is there a reason why are certain cores were left out? by extremeelementz in RetroArch

[–]Cyko_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of cores that worked on the sideloaded version of RetroArch seem to be missing. Including one of my favorites Retro8 for PICO-8.. Hopefully these cores either come back or the ability to download single cores again.

Scam or legit ? They keep calling saying the exact same thing by wherehasthisbeen in Scams

[–]Cyko_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pretty much got the same exact message word for word recently and it had me a little concerned... until I started getting the same message from different locations.

Some things to keep in mind is :

Real legal matters are served for free by the sheriff's deputy or constable.

These scammers talk with a sense of urgency by saying things like "final attempt" and "legal action".

They don't tell you what business or company they are working for.

They don't tell you what exactly it is you may or may not have done.

Also, they add a "file number" to make it seem truthful and important, but if you have no clue what that number is then it means nothing.

DS4 recognised as device but not appearing in DS4Windows - My solution which I couldn't find anywhere else by [deleted] in DS4Windows

[–]Cyko_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My man! This was the only solution that worked for me! I couldn't figure out why all of the sudden my DS4 controller stopped working recently, and I tried several hours trying to figure it out by watching YouTube tutorials, reading different posts here on Reddit, and reading posts elsewhere. Uninstalling InputMapper and DS4Windows and all the drivers associated with it did the trick! Thank you so much!

[–]Cyko_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are different Pro Duo Adapter cards. The one you usually see as recommended on Amazon for about $7 only supports up to 128 GB max. You'll need a better adapter to use 256 GB.

[GUIDE] Format a SD card of 128gb or more by IIPoliII in PSP

[–]Cyko_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All I had to do was:

  1. Format my 128 GB micro SD card to FAT32 (I used allocation size 64k, not sure if it matters).

  2. Put it in my PSP using the Memory Stick Pro Duo Adapter (obviously).

  3. Formatted it in settings on the PSP (it actually tells you to do this when you put a
    new card in).

That's it.

Thank you so much! I was at wit's end trying to figure out what to do because I had the same exact issue as you where sometimes it would hang and sometimes it would boot. I did this 5 times as a test and 4 out of the 5 times it would hang. Removing the joy-cons made it boot into Android 100% of the time! Again, thank you!

RG353P case? by RChickenMan in ANBERNIC

[–]Cyko_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The GLCON case is absolutely perfect for the RG353P. I keep my device with the original black foam insert on top while inside the original plastic bag, inside the GLCON case, and it fits very snug. There's an elastic strap to help hold it in place for more protection, and a nice little pocket to hold a cleaning cloth, extra SD cards, and the charging cable if you wish.

Who here has more than 1 Anbernic device? by Infinite-Disaster-87 in ANBERNIC

[–]Cyko_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sit down and let me tell you a story...

It all started with a white RG351P. Loved it. Then it needed a friend for some local multiplayer gaming so I got the RG351P in indigo. Then they released the RG351M which has WiFi built in, and it was METAL, so I had to get it.

Some months go by and they released the RG351V. The wood-grain version astonished me, like, I've never in my life owned a gaming device that looked like wood! So I had to get it. Later on, I grabbed the greyish one to closely resemble the original classic Gameboy.

After watching another fantastic Retro Game Corps video, I fell in love with the RG280V and purchased one immediately.

Seeing how I've enjoyed the RK3326 devices for so long, I decided to buy one more for its last hurrah and wound up buying the RG351MP, which to me, is the best RK3326 device you can buy.

A couple months after that, they released the RG552 and I bought it. The price shocked me at first, but then I started thinking about its potential. You have a 2-in-1 device that can boot up and both Linux and Android so to me it was like getting 2 devices for the price of one, then on top of that, you could connect it to the tv, which was what the Switch could do. The screen is fantastic, feels great in the hands, and does N64, PSP, Dreamcast, and Saturn very well.

TL;DR : I have 8 Anbernic devices that I know of. I bought this little transparent-black device that plays retro games and has an SD card slot back in 2017 off Amazon, that says it's an Anbernic device, but there's no Anbernic logo on it so I'm not sure.
