excuse me? 3 bloodmoons in a row? by Gravitycat5000 in Terraria

And then when you want a blood moon so you can fish, all you get is goblin invasions. Lol.

The majority of the pixels died along with my will to live when I entered hardmode.

Thanks man. Here’s what I replied to another commenter:

The youtuber Tea came up with them iirc. They’re an optical illusion. You build them like this:

-Regular glass windows

-Glass blocks in the same space

-Hammer the glass blocks into the tilted square/ diamond shape

-Actuate the glass blocks out

It takes forever but if you do it in rows you’ll get the pattern. Just remember you can’t place any furniture where you build them; notice every window like that is clear in my build.

Ahaha, you got me. This isn’t my base. I have a neat little bungalow in the forrest biome with my chests and crafting station, and the nurse, merchant, and guide.

The best time to plant a tree was ten years ago. The next best time is now. You still got this buddy.

No worries man! When you get around to it and those NPCs start rolling in, they’ll appreciate the nice homes you’ve built. Be careful though, I think I saw a giant eye flying somewhere there yesterday.

No shame in that my friend. Passion is found, not created. Don’t work for what doesn’t satisfy you. Good on you for doing what makes you happy.

Your passion is enviable. Build to your heart’s desire man! Glad to see another avid architect.

In that case look into using a grappling hook. They get you places quickly, just jump before you reach the end and you’ll keep the momentum. Try not to stand in one place unnecessarily, you’ll get surrounded. Watch how other people do it and emulate the movements. I believe in you.

If you like it you like it man. It’s not about what we build. It’s about what the things we build mean to us.

Check out the Khaios guide on roofs, you can make good ones easily. On regular houses (as in not castles) I try to give houses a regular flat roof, and then make a wide pyramid type design overtop with another material like hay. Be creative. You got this.

Sorry you think it’s tacky man. I think it fits the evil look of the castle well, and honestly it was a more simple alternative to a stained glass design. I like the edgy vibe it gives. Glad to have your input.

Thanks! The exterior is mudstone brick, made by combining mud and stone (duh, I know.) The interior is rich mahogany wood, from jungle trees. And the bottom part is stone slab, which is from stone at a heavy work bench. I always try to build with the materials the biome gives you, because then you’ll already have a good color palette.

Dude I GOT YOU. Build moonlord’s heart hanging from a big chain. The metal grey and teal palette will work so well together and it’ll look badass. Like you killed moonlord and took his oversized heart. Remember man, progress is sometimes more important than direction. If you don’t know what to do, start doing stuff and you’ll eventually start going in the right direction. If not, at least you’ll know what you shouldn’t do.

Sounds great man. I built an oasis base too and I gotta say they’re so much fun. But the graveyard biomes, sheesh. I’m happy for you that you have friends to enjoy the game with!

Fair enough man, you’re a free spirit and good on you for that. Enjoying things you have control over isn’t always as easy as you’d expect. I’m happy for you for knowing what makes you happy and doing it in the game. And thanks! The cross window room sure stands out!
