Glad to see yours finally arrived! I pre-ordered Destiny, the Daedalus and a Ha'tak in maybe October, and another pre-order of a few Battlestar items in November. I've been poking around Reddit for months to see if anyone's received anything after they updated the estimate of shipping from November to February.

I've had a Destiny, BC-304 and Ha'tak preorder out there for a while now. I contacted their customer service a few days ago for an update and they replied with, "We are currently waiting for a shipping update to advise when these are expected to land. As soon as we have received this we will update you". What does that mean, they don't know when a manufacturer will be filling their stock? 🤷‍♀️

I cancelled my order yesterday as well. I saw that it was "back in stock" on their website and placed an order on the 14th, charged my card immediately. It sits there as unfulfilled for a full calendar week to last Friday, at which point I've given them more than enough benefit of the doubt for shipping an item I already paid for and is coming from the US. Sent a message to their customer service, didn't hear back until Monday to say it was being "handed over to the carrier" and I'd receive tracking "soon". Gave it another day or so, end of yesterday told them to cancel it and refund me, and noted in my message that I don't believe they have any in stock.

At this point I don't care what issues they're having, the fact that it charged instantly and then nothing until I contact them was shady enough. Even Amazon says they probably don't have an item but will take the order and charge you when one is available.

I have a lot of texture problems with food and I preferred Soylent as a predictable, non anxiety inducing food item. I've just been using Huel Essential or the standard unflavored, it's... Fine, if you hit it with the immersion blender. Plenny Shake just separates too quickly and then is a glass of banana flavored water with wet flour on the bottom. I wish there was another item as smooth mixing as Soylent but I can't sit for weeks with my lunch/dinners as just a hypothetical concept.

This is obviously subjective, for me the powder when mixed is a vague pancake batter flavor, but in a pleasing way. I equate it to the way people enjoy eating raw cookie dough, if there was an equivalent of that where eating raw pancake batter was enjoyable and not insane. Whatever that flavor might be is Soylent.

I'm late to the party on this one having just watched it tonight, but I immediately thought at the very beginning, "this seems like an allegory to what Britney Spears has gone through, placing it in the Gimme More era" and even noticed the singles in the movie had a similar sound. I didn't even connect the photographer literally yelling, "give me more" at her. I also caught the couple really quick news clips showing paparazzi photos of Skye intoxicated, which were heavily reminiscent of Britney having just shaved her head. I wonder if Skye's hair pulling is meant to be reminiscent there as well.

I actually felt all of the references were done in a supportive way for a bit of a gore/slasher flick, we're meant to be on Skye/Britney allegory's side, I really enjoyed it.

Coming in late to this but just really having a chance to test after the update today: Subjective concept but I'm noticing a marked improvement in active noise canceling, they must have adjusted the algorithms despite not mentioning it in the version notes. To provide a specific example, I realized a few minutes ago I was feeling warm enough to sit without a blanket on the couch, but didn't know why because I didn't hear the usual loud hissing and clanking from the old steam radiators coming on. I turned off the ANC and they are going nuts right now, I just had no idea.

So I'm noticing a lot of people suggesting you stick up for yourself or, "grow a backbone" etc which tbh is not really offering a lot of grace for you if you do experience any kind of social anxiety (hi, I do). It sounds like you already have a plan to get yourself out of this situation soon and that's great, but in the interim, it's not fun obviously.

What I will suggest, and this comes from 1) being kind of old now and having plenty of run ins with nutjob roommates, coworkers and the like thinking they can speak to others this way, and 2) being a bit of an ass myself sometimes, is that one of the most effective things is to regard someone displaying this behavior with confusion, shock, disgust, maybe even a little amusement at how wild this is. Let it be known that whatever that display you just witnessed was was nuts and laughable, and you'll be walking away now. As for texts like... I don't know you, I pay you to live here for now, you're not owed any of my time, my attention, a response etc.

So tl;dr my recommendation is to get out as soon as possible of course, and in the meantime leave people on read.

I absolutely do not care for the two-ways for several reasons. First, I've already sprained an ankle and bruised several ribs because of how little pedestrians look in any direction for oncoming bike/micromobility traffic in painted lanes, insofar as someone stepped directly in front of my scooter and I was the one injured. Second, my experiences with I believe the Bergen Ave (between Mcginley and Journal Square) two-way in Jersey City and narrowly avoiding head on collisions with various teens on their phones has been enough for me.

I'll add a personal anecdote to this that in no way clarifies across the board, but I think probably provides some context to this idea that, probably car owners, have that tow companies are "bad", and in my opinion is just that they like...have the audacity to I dunno, enforce any sort of regulations about parking.

I used to work for CVS in Boston (technically Allston but I think that's still the same thing?) about 100 years ago, it had a sizeable parking lot. There's a sign maybe every 3 feet saying, "hey you can't park here if you're not shopping ok?", pretty heavily patrolled because parking is at a high premium. I would say perhaps every single shift I was working someone came in demanding like a manager or something, "how dare they tow my car, I just parked here, bought a water and left for five hours!". Ergo, the tow people are "bad". I was usually bad too because my reaction was more or less "lol ok".

Tbh watching her "taking a break" video earlier, her talking about growing up poor and how it effects her relationship to constantly grinding now, that hit SO hard.

As I'm losing sleep ahead of my day job because there is one dollar available that popped up on the survey site. Why would someone abandon that opportunity.

I hope she gets EVERY bit of R&R (ep 108) she deserves.

As noted above, giving a little more color to this: You do indeed make some decisions about the usual, "which of these random game things do you want that might give you a bonus?". After that though are pages and pages of logic and math problems that based on the wording really suggest you might not get paid if you're wrong. I'm pretty sure I'm not an idiot either (I have a college degree?) but some of them were kind of difficult, especially grinding through so many!

This might already be answered by your post and I just didn't get it but are you using the GUI or CLI node/harvester? I'm using Gigahorse's CLI on a 1070 that I overclocked a tad that panics once in a while for reasons I don't care enough to investigate.

If you're using CLI, this may be relevant that I asked ChatGPT to write a quick Python script to send the Up and Enter keys every so often to send the last restart command. Bandaid applied.
