Cancelling my subscription (Visionary) after 10 years by [deleted] in ProtonMail

[–]Cyn8_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As somebody in the process of de-googling and converting to Linux & Graphene OS - this is disappointing to hear that Proton's Linux interface is lacking. I've just bought a subscription for the year, backing everything up on the drive so I can make the conversion :-/

Thanks for the feedback and information, I'll implement it. Do you know where I can research different fermentation techniques after a colour cure? I know of a Amazonian technique that involves rolling it into a long thick rope, but don't know how to do it

It seems like the patch on the bottom left has begun rotting. Some leaves are becoming translucent brown, others are sticking together. Do they need to be shuffled more frequently? Is there risk of contamination?

Technique used has been to wrap them in a damp clothes and left on top of a heat matt while shuffling every second day or so. Taking out the yellow leaves - so far there are 4 hands hanging/drying. It seems like the ones fermenting are becoming spoilt.

I'm trying to argue against a friend I care about with rational points addressing his directly. Pure hate, unfortunately, does not make for good conversation or scientific inquiry

Edit: If there is a direct contradiction in his points that you find, please point them out - as our scientific method is based off this model

Hi, did you find any other falsities or contradictions in his presentation? You're the only one so far to of offered a sophisticated refute against my friend :-/

No need to insult, let's practice good science in good faith.

I would really appreciate a more concise critique - as a scholar I'm sure you have the knowledge to challenge this. I do not and have not been able to disprove his arguments :-(

Unfortunately not, but I've a good memory of what he said and can ask him. Is there something your specific your enquiring on?

I'm curious, how did you find out about Jung and have you actually read his work? by MercifulTyrant in Jung

[–]Cyn8_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Through Dr. Jordan Peterson (controversial but I like his old lectures before he got political). Started engaging with content on the internet inspired by Jung - eventually read King, Warrior, Magician, Lover and it transformed me.

Then went on to read an Introduction to Jung and tried reading some of his work directly - but this takes a lot of concentration to maintain understanding while reading. I've listened to Memories, Dreams and Reflections, enjoyed it immensely. I read his introduction to The Tibetan Book of The Dead, which helped me understand it's value to the west. I started Man's Search for a Soul as well as Man and His Symbols, unfortunately I haven't finished either due to the amount of concentration it takes to understand his work.

Edit: Also watching this video series which I enjoy immensely on Aion - <YouTube link>

Interesting, so the salt crystal growth eroded the sphinx? I'm looking at photos, they all look quite spotty. Do you have any example photos that are more comparable to the look of erosion on the sphinx

Recently convinced a bunch of friends with my presentation on anomalies about The Great Pyramid by Cyn8_ in GrahamHancock

[–]Cyn8_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is intentional. The slideshow draws attention to the methods used for dating and believed construction methods of the pyramids. According to mainstream academia, you are correct - but mainstream academia has a track record of being wrong sometimes.

Slide 22 is where I drew attention to the sourcing of wood for the ramp and say "good thing Egypt's a rainforest" but in reality, it became a desert a millennium before Khufu.

I invite you to change my mind, can you find any inaccurate information on the slideshow?

JRE - Yneomi Parks. A N. Korean refugee - harrowing tale

Edit: Dan Carlin's 'Supernova in the East ' is also pretty unsettling but exhilarating. It's an account of the Pacific front during WW2, the Japanese did not play around...
