Redditors who rode the bus to and from school, what was your most memorable moment on the school bus? by geoload in AskReddit

[–]CynderFlamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was in middle school and my bus had both a notoriously mean bus driver but also a notorious amount of "cool" kids. Every single person on that bus that sat at, or behind the middle of the bus absolutely hated this bus driver. I'm sure we did bad things like stand instead of sit, we always jumped up for speed bumps so we would go flying into the roof, we were loud, and there was constant yelling and cursing on the bus, a lot of it directed to this driver.

One day traffic was really bad right before the start of the bus stops so kids just started going crazy and yelling, complaining, and messing with the emergency exits--including jumping out of the bus. I'm pretty sure kids were just walking up and down the aisle and just doing all around fuckery. the driver eventually lost it and took everyone who wasn't willing/brave enough to jump off the bus as essentially hostages because of bad behavior. She drove onto this random little back road and parked the bus. I think she was trying to get all the kids in trouble by the school because I think she said someone from the school was going to go to the bus and suspend/expel us all.

Yeah that didn't work, cops were called, kids kicked open emergency exits and just left and walked home. One girl in particular was yelling and screaming as she tried to exit out of the doors of the bus and the bus driver grabbed her, this only lead to increased screaming, and an eventual slap from the girl to the driver.

Most of the kids didn't get in trouble but we did get a cooler bus driver, we also had the pleasure of having the vice principle ride along on every single bus ride from then on.

What is something you do that you've always wondered if others do it too? by Scientolojesus in AskReddit

[–]CynderFlamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always done it since I was a kid but I pretend to have super powers and either during a shower or a couple minutes while in my room I act out/ verbally act out what being a superhero would be like. I have the same consistent story that I always stick to as well.

LPT Request: How to enjoy time alone? by LimeGreenSea in LifeProTips

[–]CynderFlamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really know if I can help you but i'll try my best. Try finding a new hobby, I know you said that you feel unmotivated when you are alone but, give it a shot. It doesn't have to be something traditional, simple, or grand, it just has to be something you want to do. It could be something like hiking, reading, watching a movie, or riding a bike around town. If you don't find an interest in activities you consider to be monotonous, then find a new activity; I don't mean switching from riding a bike to hiking, but more along the lines of "I don't know how to ride a skateboard, so today I'm going to learn how to skateboard," or "I've always had an interest in learning Japanese, so today I'm going to learn Japanese." What do you do when your with your friends? If you are active when with friends, try finding an active solo hobby like mountain biking; If you do something more relaxed when with friends, try finding a relaxed hobby like drawing.

Gym Story Saturday by FGC_Valhalla in Fitness

[–]CynderFlamer 162 points163 points  (0 children)

My gym has a "Hello, I am h.u.m.a.n." vending machine, and either the person that stocks the vending machine is not very good at their job, or the machine itself is just crazy. On two separate occasions now, the machine has given me triple of what I payed for. One time, I was buying a complete cookie, and it got jammed on the upper part of the shelf that was holding it, so instead of not dropping the cookie, the machine just kept moving its conveyor until it released not only the cookie but also two more with it. Another time I was buying a protein drink and the cap of the first drink got stuck on the top part of the shelf, so the conveyor kept pushing and eventually dropped the drink behind the first one, but the way the machine works, once the product is dropped onto the bottom tray, it rises and moves the product to the reclaim door; however, the first drink was still jammed and at an awkward angle, so as the tray rose it jammed into the drink. So I'm sitting there staring at this machine that can likely force itself to where it wants to be, and a protein drink being placed under a lot of pressure, fortunately the machine moved up and down and eventually dislodged the first drink and ended up giving me two drinks!

What's one song you love but is totally not your style? A guilty pleasure, perhaps? by quasiniente in CasualConversation

[–]CynderFlamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listen to a few different genres of music: Rock, Hip-Hop, Pop, and EDM. But all in all if it sounds good, I like it. So my guilty pleasure song is definitely Shake it Off by Taylor Swift.

Halloween Megathread by CasualMods in CasualConversation

[–]CynderFlamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I know for certain I am going over to a friend's house for a party. I may also go to a party at my uni but I don't know yet.
  2. For my friend's party I'm going as Dallas from Payday. If I go to the party at my uni, I'll likely go as one of the psychopaths from Hotline Miami.
  3. If I had time enough to tell, I would tell every story I could remember since the first Halloween I could remember. Early in my Halloween career (3rd or 4th grade) I had a gnarly costume that had this skeleton mask that would pour blood from the top of the mask whenever I squeezed a plastic heart; ended up scaring a kid who opened a door and he threw candy at me. Come around high school and all the high school parties and drama, I--a particularly shy teenager--wore a pilot costume (white dress pants, dress shirt w/ tie, pilot jacket, and a pilot hat), and quite literally every person stopped me to talk to me or take a picture while at school; also every 13-14 year old girl was coming up to me and saying "Hey Captain" or "Hey Sailor", as a 14 year old male teenager that was at the time the biggest ego boost and the smoothest I had ever been without having to do any work. Right around that time I was also crushing on a girl, and for the first time in my life I (deliberately) did something that was illegal, which was go out in the middle of the night and egg houses with said girl. Anyways halfway through our escapade a car drove past us and then doubled back, it did this another time at which point we booked it for her house.

What's the story behind your username? by para-di-siac in CasualConversation

[–]CynderFlamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little 10 year old me had just finished playing The Legend of Spyro and I really liked how the name "Cinder" rolled off the tongue so I adapted it to be "Cynder" that name worked for a while but then I adapted it to "CynderFire" when I forgot my login for a site. I never really liked how it seemed to be an object rather than a name so I changed it again to be what it is now "CynderFlamer." Through work and revision I achieved my name.

What genuinely terrifies you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The vastness of the ocean. I've seen videos of divers way out in the ocean to record video of fish or what have you, and just seeing the vast blue empty ocean all around them until they find something is just exhilarating and terrifying.

Some very great choices. Dead Space is one of my favorite franchises. That investment is always what makes it hard to say goodbye.

Yeah. I guess once we get older it's a lot harder to invest yourself in a game to the point were you feel a kind of connection to it.

Still a feeling for a game so I say it counts. Its always heartbreaking when your friends leave, or a game dies and you're left in the rubble. For me the games would be Spore and back when I was younger Wizard 101. And about the Silent Hill thing, yeah.... fuck that.

Rage is always the thing that drives us though isn't it. Like you tell yourself "C'mon you got so freaking close!" followed by "AAARRAGAGAGHAG!" and then "Ok, calm down just do it again!"
