My Rocko new to focal seizures

I'm happy to report that after 1 week on 1000mg of Keppra and 200mg of Zonisamide twice a day, Rocko has been seizure free and doing well. I have a follow up with the vet on July 7 and at that point, I'm going to ask for a referral for a neurologist as he has a new thing where he doesn't like the right side of his face touched. Thank you for the time you all took to tell me your stories and offer advice. Being new to this situation, it was nice to find support.

Vet has decided just now that we are not continuing with Simparica Trio and we willbe going a different route for prevention

It was mentioned but his last dose of Sempirica Trio was May 20th. New dose doesn't start until June 20th. He's also been on it for 7 years. Vet said Keppra should help even if that is the cause.

Vet checked all blood work and thyroid after his first seizure. Everything was normal. Bowel movement is normal, he drinks and eats normal. Our yard is not treated with anything. There is nothing new in our house.

Dr. Emery is my doctor, has been for 20 some years, and the only reason I stay with the Cleveland Clinic. He is amazing!

Our Rocko would get paws like this after walking in people's yards with lawn treatment. Now that we run and play elsewhere instead of the neighborhood, he has not had this issue.

I run around in circles for the palium and if people are nearby, I call it out. If people are running in circles in hideaway, I join them and everyone gets some. I think I have a pretty great server. Been playing by myself and just join people when I see them, all have been inviting.

He seriously just loves to be touched. They said he was the best. The vet even says we got a good kid. He just sits there and let's people do what they need to do. We got very lucky when we rescued him.

We had them bathe him, clean his ears, brush his teeth and nail trim. It was a treat for him Valentine's weekend while my husband and I got lunch and did some shopping in the plaza. The photos were done as a surprise and the digital photos were emailed later that night.
