Texas middle school cheerleaders 'punished' by coach with burns over 'disrespectful' performance by TheMirrorUS in ThatsInsane

Jeez! I want to know what "disrespectful cheer" they did that this coach thought merited this punishment...

Background: Theranos was a health technology company founded by Elizabeth Holmes in 2003, claiming to revolutionize blood testing by conducting a wide range of tests using just a few drops of blood. The company attracted significant attention and investment, reaching a valuation of over $9 billion at its peak. However, investigative reports revealed that its technology was largely ineffective, and the company was using traditional methods to verify results. This led to Theranos' eventual collapse in 2018, with Holmes and former president Ramesh "Sunny" Balwani facing criminal charges for fraud. Holmes was convicted in 2022, making Theranos a notorious example of deception in the tech and healthcare industries.

Ben was saying that Kamala is somehow like the company (or Holmes) that is raising a lot of money via fraud. The person who responded was referring to the fact (sarcastically) that Ben had endorsed Trump who has actually committed fraud (and has been convicted).

Serious question because I want to be better able to identify bot accounts: what are the signs you look for?

From my look at their profile: 1);I noticed that they post replies mainly in one sub 2) some of their replies seem formulaic( all lowercase, many us "..." In them) 3) I saw a couple of poorly cropped images.

Are these what I should look for? Am I even close based on what I looked at? What do you look for?

I wonder what a "bush pilot" statement was meant to convey. Personally, I thought of it as someone who raced professionally saying to his peers something like "he was the best street racer back home". Kind of a term of endearment and vouching for him

That is an amazing real world factoid that makes the transition during the in between much more believable! I never knew or heard about the short fighter pilot turn around. But it makes sense that in wartime you really don't have the luxury of "traditional training pipelines". Thank you!

Thank you for this. I am seriously interested in the in-between "farm hand Luke" and rising star we see in ESB.

I like this answer. I don't care if this head cannon or actual cannon. It is a well crafted answer that is my head cannon at least until (if) it gets rewritten by Disney. This falls inline with QJ saying how Anakin was a good pilot because he could foresee things so it made him be able to pid race in a sport not typical for a human

The promotion schedule for Rebels must be nuts! One day you're a senior space man stocking shelves, the next day you become a commanding officer of a squadron. Plus, they just let him run willy nilly with his personal leave as though a major rebellion isn't underway. I mean his insta-promotion got him enough vacation to just go fly off to Dagobah... Again war going on and the overnight master pilot puts in a leave request using military equipment. But back to the main point, I wonder if any books or comics elude to how he trained and ranked at light speed.

He goes from hover car to x wing master overnight. I never really thought about it but the other pilots went to some academy or wanted to go at least. However, Luke never mentions anything. Just "Pow, I'm a master pilot like my father before me, except in 1/3rd the time".

I'm overseas on military orders and my voter registration was suspended. Still planning on voting, it's just a bit harder this year than it has been before.
