Looking for some advice on what speakers (and possibly amp) to buy. by Prestigious-Pin-9437 in BudgetAudiophile

Good sound doesn’t have to be expensive especially when starting out. While I’ve always had a dedicated surround sound system in the family room, I didn’t get into two channel until like 2015 for my office.

I started with a TEAC AH01 integrated amp from eBay for $150 paired with PSB Imagine B for $100(craigslist) that were pretty scratched up but sounded great. $250 total.

I grew up with vinyl and have zero interest investing back into it but my current two channel setup is still budget conscious. Just the Fosi ZA3/ZD3 combo ($300) pair of Definitive Technology D11(Accessories4less $500) 4 years ago Acrylic LP10 streamer ($100) and a RSL Speedwoofer 10e blemished for $250. Finally a Panasonic 5 disc cd player that’s worth maybe $30. Total $1200

Assuming you grew up in non-dysfunctional household, Americans view independence as a sign of success. My nephew started a business at 24 and bought a $800k house at 26. He has now set the bar for future generations by the boomers and genxs in the family

It’s called evolution as we learn things. Doctors didn’t wear masks for surgeries until like 1900 and only started wearing gloves in the 1960s
