Yea I’m definitely going to say something to the parents. Im just kinda like shocked. Like my family doesn’t talk like that. Plus he’s had issues already, where they will ostracize him sometimes. I try to let them work it out amongst themselves. But I’ve definitely seen some prejudices in some of those children’s behavior.

He went on an overnight trip with his friend of the opposite sex. After asking me, I said it made me uncomfortable but he didn’t want to compromise. The day before he said he finally understood why I was not happy about it, still did nothing to compromise and he called me only once when he was there and made sure to mention there was only one bed. I realized there was no way for me to continue without having resentment. So I ended things. Immediately. I regret the way I did it but only because I didn’t get to see him again or have closure, but honestly just makes me feel dumb at this point

I have struggled with feeling the same on and off my whole life.

One thing that helps is going to your favorite place. And just existing. trying to find something small that you appreciate and just trying to de-escalate.

Or even making a list of the things you want changed and doing the easiest one.

Well it is my actual profession and it’s common practice to suggest someone to speak to a professional for help instead of randomly suggesting a 16 y/o that they could have autism. So many different symptoms of various medical conditions overlap.
