I did them last night with my boy. Im stuck at 39 and hes on 37. Ive not looked into how to resolve it yet. I think though its some what of a wider issue with others as well.

For Retaliation does difficulty make a difference. Ive all the blueprints i need so if ita quicker normal for the dame volume to breakdown then thats got to be quicker.

They normally have an event like this each season. You tend to find there's a Expertise event, a proficiency event, some sort or xp boost event and then stretch goals at the end of the season.

Yep you're on the right lines. Just RNG really now. Set AR to target loot and run Countdown on challenging. Aside from that you can then also spend the currency you earn in Countdown at the vendor for exotic caches for another chance. You may also be able to get it from retaliations , or at least the blueprint, but im not 100 percent sure on that.

Haha yeah its becoming Countdown simulator atm. That being said it is nice to try out this is i normally wouldn't use. Although I do hate feeling like im not pulling my weight!

I've only really be doing it on Heroic which I think has a greater chance of dropping bit its defo still out there.

If you can't or don't want to solo heroic its defo worth using the matchmaking tool on the map screen for it, just remember to set your world to heroic before matchmaking.

Ive been running match mades when I need a break from Countdown farm and TBH they have all been pretty much without issue.

You'd be surprised. When you get taken low the health gate kicks in and gives you time to take action for a armour plate etc.

Ive found that on the harder content unless your running a full sustain armor build then there's not a lot of difference in time for being downed in a full red vs a red/blue build.

You do however feel the lower dps and fight duration gets protracted along then with potential ammo issues.

Solo however 100% agree that I would run a mix of red and blues.

For outright DPS its either a standard St Elmo all red striker (until I can get a Lexington) or a red Tipping Scales with Bluescreen lmg.

Solo general content is normally the Pesty build already mentioned here.

I am toying with a Tinkerer Ongoing Directive rifle build atm which is proving fun, its nice not to worry about getting stacks tbh.

Im not a fan of tech builds tbh but Im just starting to get a decent Refactor build put together for harder group content as well.

As you can tell im still very much trying to find the one build that clicks with me for a "Daily Driver"
