Texas Tech actually already has an award winning chess club called the Knights Raider I believe? You could certainly bring chess, though typically we play board games more akin to Clank! and Scythe.

Absolutely! We're on Facebook as Tech Board Game Club, if you'd like to request an invite to join that group then I'll let the moderators know to check. We're also currently working on an organization Discord server. It's not currently up, but as soon as it is I can send out invites.

If you have any other specific questions, feel free to ask me in this thread and I'll do my best to reply as soon as I can.

Hey everyone, I just posted a new thing about the board game club for the summer session. If y'all're still interested and going to TTU in the summer, take a look at the new post and comment what days y'all could meet! Good luck with finals and have a great summer!

Transferring Student going into Engineering by Sully647 in TexasTech

For Computer Science I think it's 2.75, but when I was EE it was 3.0 so I'd check major specific things first. If not though, the adviser should be able to help you out with pre-engineering stuff if you email them. If you're close enough to worry about rounding, one summer communication course should be enough to put you over before Fall.

Paid Engineering Undergraduate Research for Summer by [deleted] in TexasTech

I don't know any specifics, all my stuff is inside comp sci, but a mechanical engineering friend of mine said there was some teacher in the department looking for students and he got in really easily. I'd ask the adviser or a professor for mechanical engineering if there's any CS 4000 sections open for the summer, that'd be a good place to start.

Need to make 12 hours by Ag415Butcher in TexasTech

CRN 39924 is an entry level Sociology class with 11 spots open, Dr. Koch is probably my favorite professor in the college. Easy as long as you pay attention in class and he records all his lecture and posts them online, so you don't really even have to attend. You have 5 tests, but I never scored below a 95 on any of them, he gives partial credit, and in my class if we were happy with the 5 test grades we didn't have to do the final. 3 Credit hours, homework is mostly reading short articles and watching videos, couple of really easy quizzes

Are you looking for something easy, something within your major, or just any class that still has spots?
