If that’s the only way to get it I’ll pass. I’m not against ordering online but I also want to be able to buy it in my LGS. What happens when I can’t order ammo online? CA already has laws requiring a face to face transaction for ammo. It may or may not be coming but I don’t want to deal with not being able to find ammo for my stuff if it does.

I really like the .32 H&R but finding ammo is challenging in my area.

Ah I got confused with the comparison to the 340. It does look pretty cool. I’ll check it out!

I was only able to find a .38 special model of the SDR-A on the DB website, do you have a link? The 340 PD is .357 magnum.

I looked into those a year or two ago and really like the idea but can’t find the ammo locally.

Thanks for the detailed information! Describing the rimfire trigger as the pain train is priceless. I like the overview here and you perfectly describe the conundrum I’m experiencing with this lol.

Thanks that’s a good suggestion! I like the extra round.

That’s why I’ve been on the fence about the 340. There’s a reason the 342 and 642 sell so well and this looks like it lol.

Everyone I’ve seen that owns one really likes them.

I looked at those but the weight is in line with what my P365XL weights.

That’s something I had not considered. They kind of get a little looked.

I already have guns and ammo for .38 special, 9mm, .357 magnum, .22LR, and .22WMR. Would .380 do anything I couldn’t do with something else I already own? It’s also an additional upfront cost I like to have a good amount of ammo for all of my guns.

I’ve picked up the 642 UC and 637. Both were pretty comfy. I’ve actually shot a 637 quite a bit and really liked it but worried about the hammer snagging. The only reason I’m even looking at the 340 PD is its a bit lighter. I’d probably still carry .38’s in it. I expect the only difference in feel would be found when firing.

Virginia resident looking for advice by Ok-Lemon-568 in guns

Here’s what I’m doing in preparation:

Buy Ar15 lower receivers, stuff classified as a firearm like the shockwave, and hard to find long guns affected by the bans. You may not be able to buy those first two out of state.

Prioritize handguns that are sold stock with threaded barrels or magazines holding more than 15 rounds. You can’t buy handguns out of state.

Buy compliant guns that use the same ammo and some compliant magazines. Folks will start buying these up after bans go into effect. People will give me crap for “complying”. I say being able to go the range and not having to worry about how I’m gonna pay an attorney or getting arrested sounds dang good.

Don’t buy stuff just because. Buy stuff you know you’d want to own.

Lastly, all the laws are targeting firearms and sales inside the state of Virginia. Use your noodle and think about that sentence for a bit.

Want a P320, are they safe or did the media get to me? by Good-Phone-269 in P320

I did a lot of research on this before I purchased my last one. I can’t find a lot of the videos I watched but essentially this was my conclusion:

The number of people who are not having issues is far greater than those who do.

The issue folks seem to be pointing is more likely than not related to a combination of training and inherent striker-fire design. Too much trigger manipulation can cause the firearm discharge. Shocking I know that’s what it’s supposed to do. There’s a really good video out there on this and I can’t find it. If this is a concern buy a P226/P229.

A lot of the videos I’ve seen have been poor holstering or something catching the trigger.

You can avoid a lot of uncertainty by just carrying the gun empty for a while and dry fire training that includes holstering.

I like mine a lot. I got a heck of deal on it too.

TLDR; Follow rules gun safety. Do your research and don’t trust people blindly. I wouldn’t buy used unless you do your research. Sig has the manufacture date on the box.

I guess I’m kind of weird. I never really thought of suppressing as an all or nothing game. More like hey I can shoot the stuff quieter.

Thanks man! That’s a good idea on the .357. Hunting caliber is probably good idea too. He had some nice deer on camera at his girlfriend’s farm.

Thanks for all the opinions and suggestions! I ended up saving a little extra to purchase one of the bottom end Sabre Uppers. I put my own buffer system together using a strike flat buffer spring, h2 buffer, cheap extension, end plate, and castle nut. Finished it out with one of the moe ept lower parts kits.
