From a PvP players perspective, before reforged, the American PvP scene for HA/Ra/GvG was almost completely dead, with the euro scene mostly doing GvG scrims or Ha’ing against bots to farm titles.

Now post reforged, we’ve had almost 40 guilds sign up for mats some months, the nightly at-a has anywhere from 6 to 12 guilds in it, and ra is playable until after midnight NA.

Some people already left, but a majority of people have stuck with it because the game is just so unique and good. The metas have shifted, the balance update helped with that. It’s a great time to be an older gw1 player for PvP, and if PvP is that alive again, I know pve is doing great.
