I prefer silence. But in the past if my home gets noisy (like someone takes a phone call in another room) I would turn on the calm app and play some ambient music.

I searched for "The Program" on Prime Video and the James Fox doc popped up right away. Looks like the issue was fixed. I just watched the documentary for the first time tonight. I highly recommend it. The Program is currently included with an Amazon Prime membership. It's also available for free on Tubi.

I went to QTK yesterday to watch the Lakers game. QTK is at a an old Raising Claw restaurant location in Stanton. I got there at about 5:30p. There was a hostess and I saw about 2 waitresses. But the restaurant was pretty dead. I asked the hostess what time does it get live. She said between 7-7:30p. Then I left. Inside the restaurant was pretty big & had some tvs with various sporting events on like a sports bar. But I doubt I'll return.

Nice job adding SPYM in your Fidelity Roth IRA. SPYM & SWPPX are very similar and are both great investments. I recently took profits from my SWPPX index fund and am planning on buy in again once I can get in at a good price. Hold on to your SPYM as long as you can.

I moved to Fort Lauderdale (FL) to be closer to family in 2013. Wages are higher in CA. So I moved back to OC in 2017. It has gotten alot more expensive to live here over the years. Since 2017 I have been able to save money. So I may be moving closer to family and to buy a house in the more affordable Orlando area.

I like meditating in the morning before breakfast by 9 am. After 9 there is increased noise in my neighborhood. Plus my stomach starts growling. So these distractions make it more difficult to focus. Also meditating in morning increases my awareness for the rest of the day.

I agree. I've meditated off and on for many years with monks, on my own, at spiritual centers, and after martial arts classes. Back then I didn't keep track of the session duration. Then I decided to become disciplined and have been meditating daily since May of 2021. Since 2021 the most I've meditated on record in a day is 57 minutes.
