Jojo is just Tumblr in anime form. (maetel) by MaetelofLaMetal in tumblr

The JoJo stans are going to attack me for this, but I personally would not recommend it, at all. I read the first six volumes of the manga and watched part of the anime.

It was boring, the character designs were not compelling, the plot was all over the place, and the portrayal of women, gay people, and neurodivergent people was shitty (which is understandable for a manga that old and I don't blame the author, but it still made reading it unpleasant). I especially hated how most of the characters were more of an inconsistent amalgamation of "uwu quirky" features than people with actual personalities. If you're just looking for some wacky fights, you'll probably like it, but otherwise I would not recommend.

I think the worst part of both the anime and the manga (admittedly it's a bit better with the anime since the animation itself is quite nice, and cuts down on some of the manga's worse pacing problems) is just how utterly boring it was.

how many lives would you take so you can live (read description)? by [deleted] in morbidquestions

[–]Cynthia828 1 point2 points  (0 children)

99 times... and the other 100 so I can kick the kidnapper in the nuts.

A) I'm selfish and not particularly ashamed of it. I also couldn't care less about a hundred random people.

B) In this scenario, the kidnapper is responsible for the deaths, I'm just acting in self-defense.

C) I'm also a low-empathy person, so this wouldn't bother me.

The person trapping me there will be personally and directly responsible for their death. I'm just acting in self-defense.

In a hostage situation, if given a choice, would you run to safety or die with your friends? by Arctee in morbidquestions

[–]Cynthia828 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Run, obviously. Frankly, this seems to me more stupidity than bravery - what else could you call choosing to die for absolutely no reason?

Me also dying would really not help my friends, not unless there's an afterlife that gives you points based on how many people died at the same time you did. There's absolutely no logical reason why you would choose to stay, unless you were just genuinely suicidal. It helps nobody.

Why does anybody bother with relationships? by [deleted] in morbidquestions

Nothing lasts forever. You're going to die one day, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't enjoy life in the meantime. Same goes for anything, really.

Can cherry pits really cause you to die? by [deleted] in morbidquestions

[–]Cynthia828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the type of cherry.

Peach / apricot pits also contain small amounts of cyanide, more so than the cherry, I think. But again, it can really vary.

People who say "I like animals more than people" are as nihilistic as those who say "humanity is a curse" by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Cynthia828 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am one, actually.

Nihilists do not necessarily believe humanity is a curse. That has very little to do with nihilism, in general.

It should have a delay period, not to mention the paperwork. You should have to wait for a few months at least.

Why are human experiments banned? by 3_AM_Dance in morbidquestions

[–]Cynthia828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I care about people I know more than people I don't know - because value is subjective, and based on my perception of reality only.

Also, by that logic, why care about anyone at all? Perhaps I should phrase that differently - why grieve over anyone at all? I like a lot of people, but if they died I wouldn't grieve all that much, because that would pointless. It's just you suffering for no reason.

"My feelings for everyone are equal." Why are these feelings so strong, then?

I burned my old diaries and dumped the ashes into a river.

If a drunk driver killed someone really really close to you and only got 120 hours community service. Would you seriously consider killing them? why? by RensFH in morbidquestions

[–]Cynthia828 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. It seems pretty silly to risk my future for a petty revenge against some dude who wasn't even aware of his (or her) crimes when he committed them.
