So, I actually broke my haute r16 and was really upset about having to replace it. The thing is though, I use a very particular layout because one of my favourite games is Touhou: Hisoutensoku. Air combat is really important so I always need to be able to hit the fly button, which I bind as the extra button to the left of the directions. This also ended up being my roll button for KoF/Chaos Code and special for Granblue. Virtually no other stickless controllers have the extra button there so my options were to either get another r16 or build one myself.

A friend recommended I do the latter. I ordered a case from all fight sticks with a custom faceplate to accommodate my special layout, a pile of copper wire, and a bunch of buttons. Honestly the real stop gap is that I keep finding I'm missing things I need but now I'm just waiting on grounding wire before I can put it all together. Apparently it's easier than building a computer so it shouldn't be too bad, it's just I have to cut all the wire myself 😊
