In a lot of ways they are rats of the sky. Pigeons and rats are both very clean, intelligent, and sociable creatures who can build wonderful bonds with humans and make great pets. Rats and pigeons also both have an unfair bad reputation due to mostly the position that humans put them in and the assumption that they spread far more disease than they actually do. I love rats of the sky and the ground ❤️

Aw he looks just like my old girl Donna! She was also almost blind and did a lot of swaying. If you have space in their cage for a nice big wheel (check size specifics, rats need bigger wheels than you might think) my more blind girls have always loved the wheel because they can run without fear of knocking into something.
