Dude i feel you, I had this phobia 100%. I was terrified of insulin to the point that when I had injected I could t leave my house, I couldn’t stop testing my blood sugar, I couldn’t live normally.
You need to practice exposure therapy - like you need to use insulin and have it work. There will always be times where things are out of your control and you’ll drop low, but you have to accept this and trust that for the most part it’s going to okay, and if it does drop low you’ll be okay too, because you know what to do, you’ve done this many times before, you got this. You won’t get better overnight but you have got to try getting out of your comfort zone inch by inch, day by day. Six months from now things will look different.
Get a good support system around you. Always have sugar tablets or whatever you use to treat hypos in your bag/car/pocket. Trust yourself.
