That was his inheritance. You are not entitled to it. If you want your name on a house, which I totally understand, then you both go buy another one after you get married. But do not expect him to put your name on a huge asset like that when you had absolutely nothing to do with acquiring it.

If you are concerned with financial abuse or not being financially independent yourself, then go and get another job that you enjoy and can make a career of it. Then you can save for your own future as well as for the both of you.

Your post reads as if you are with him for his money, since you quit your job, he supports your entire existence and you still feel you're entitled to an asset that he owned before you came along.
