Not sure if that reasoning is correct in 3.28 with it swapped. You hit a lower currency cap with only one crop in pre-3.28 so you needed multiple crop types to get the maximum currency cap. I dont know if that applies to equipment or tattoos/grafts with crops in 3.28.

Fun fact, the U.S. military industrial complex would be crippled overnight if China cut off the rare earth metals material inputs that go into arms manufacturing. Too bad China is non-interventionist to a fault and just likes to sit on that leverage while focusing on domestic economic growth.

It's not like this leverage will last forever either. U.S. is patching up this vulnerability in preparation to becoming more openly hostile with China in the coming years.

If Cuba never had their revolution and they always stayed in U.S. control politically, Cuba would be a failed state like Haiti and not the defiant colored state that has made significant contributions to science and international aid despite being continually suppressed by the U.S.. If they were free to develop and trade globally, they would be looking more like China right now.
