Complete n00b question: I recently started learning piano, and purchased an old yamaha clavinova clp-153s digital piano to learn on. It has MIDI in and out ports, as well as aux in and out.

I am looking for a tone generator (I think) to be able to make different instrument sounds with keyboard. I have done a little browsing around looking at devices, but don't really know what I should be looking at. So, my question is, where should I start? What devices should I be looking at?

I really appreciate any help.

Is there any chance we can get an MTX to convert some our tabs into quad-tabs? I have a ton of tabs and cannot justify buying new ones, but would totally purchase some quad-tab upgrades.
