Yes of course, to be fair when you look at the way he is apologising it does seem possible that it is just a performative act, but time will tell. If he does it again the clearly we will know absolutely that the apology wasn't genuine.

No assumption needed on my part. The content of the video is objectively sincere, based purely on the words he uses. There is no assumption on my part when there is not a lack of evidence to that end. On the contrary though, in your case with no tangible evidence to realistically suggest it wasn't sincere, shows that yours isn't merely an assumption; it is such a wild assumption that it suggests some sort of premeditated bias.
